Welcome to the Blue Thunder website. We are an award winning, full-fledged youth track club for males and females ages 6-18. Our club is based in Columbia, Missouri, competes locally, regionally and nationally in Track & Field and Cross Country. We are partially sponsored by the City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Department.
This site will keep you all informed of the happenings with the club. Many important and informative files can be found on this page as well. New information will be posted regularly here and on our Facebook page. Let us know if you have any ideas that you would like to see with the site.

2025 CROSS COUNTRY SEASON
Season Details:
📅 Season Dates: August 26 – November 22
🏃 Ages: 6–14 (Boys & Girls)
📍 Practice Locations: Columbia public parks — Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
🗓 First Practice: Tuesday, August 26 | 6:00 PM at Stephens Lake Park
(Use Broadway entrance, turn right, meet at the small picnic shelter by the lot)
Competition Distances:
🏅 2K, 3K & 4K (based on age group)
📌 Local & out-of-town meets
Cost to Join:
💲 $70 (Cash, check, or money order — no credit/debit cards)
Fee Includes:
✔ YES Athletics Membership
✔ Team T-Shirt
✔ Entry to Regular Season Meets (does not include post-season meets)
How to Register:
📍 In-Person: Armory Sports & Community Center, 701 E. Ash — Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM
📅 Bring your form to the first practice (Aug 26)
