NICK 'BUFF' MAGLIO
(passed April 2011)
-founder of our Brooklyn Kiwnais Baseball League, the 1st wood bat league in NYC
-beloved longtime baseball & basketball coach at New Utrecht HS, Brooklyn Friends & Ty Cobb
-won the battle to make baseball safer & use wood bats in all of NYC
-helped to fund & install the lights at Bay 8th Street fields 1 & 1a
-field 1a at Bay 8th was renamed in his honor: Nick Maglio Field
-lived his motto which we continue today: "Serving Youth through Sports."
