Effective immediately, the Easton Ghost (GOLD Graphics) is NOT APPROVED for use in Babe Ruth Softball.  Although this bat is marked “Official Softball”, it is marketed for use in USSSA only and is currently not approved for use in ASA, USA, ISF, High School and the NCAA.


The Easton Ghost (BLUE Graphics) IS APPROVED for use in Babe Ruth Softball.

This year, we will be using text messaging to alert you to weather conditions and changes in scheduling.  The alerts will also direct you to check the Web site for the latest news. At least ONE member of the coaching staff MUST sign up for this in order to get scheduling updates.

There are times when weather forces the suspension of games when you must seek shelter, often to your cars.  Some of those times, you will be asked to not leave the park, just in case play can resume.  If you have signed up for TEXT AND EMAIL ALERTS, you will receive via text, the message to either return to your field or that you can leave the park.  However, in order for you to receive the TEXT ALERTS, you must sign up even if you have signed up in previous years!!!!  Please sign up under Parents/scorekeeper/other DO NOT SIGN UP under tournament officials - you will be deleted.

2019 Babe Ruth State Tournament Gift Bag Exchange Schedule:  Please make sure that you prepare and give gifts that represent your league/area. Take the time to put together something that you know that your own team players would like to receive. In years past we've had issues with some not putting much time or effort in thought or time in preparing and others that go above and beyond....please don't be "THAT" team we talk about all year long that fails!


Suggestions and ideas:  personal drink coolers, pull-string bags, drink bottles, hair bows/ribbons, personalized team items, beach towels/products, etc....of course sunflower seeds, bubble gum, candy *(NO CHOCOLATE)!  As a nice gesture...remember the coaches as well....they are a BIG part of the team as well.  Team counts...max of 15 players and 4 coaches and possible batgirl/boy! 



UPDATE 6-14-19

Mandatory Manager's Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 19th @ 7:00pm.  At least one rostered representative MUST be in attendance or team will be removed from the tournament. If you don't play your 1st game until Friday or Saturday you still MUST attend the meeting. Schedule, tournament format, park rules will be discussed.  In addition, the Tournament Director and State UIC will be available in an open forum setting to answer any tournament or rules questions.

The meeting will be held in the Entertainment Building located at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.  Directions can be found by clicking "Area Maps" in the main menu.  Team Credential Books will be submitted upon arrival (please make sure they are COMPLETE and signed by your district commissioner for you to be elligible to play).

Reminder... There is NO TEAM FEE for the State Tournament!  Players, Coaches and Managers (while in uniform) are permitted entry into the park free of charge. Coaches will be checked in at the entry gate.

Spectators will be charged a daily entry fee into the park.  A TOURNAMENT PASS will be available on Thursday & Friday which provides entry to ALL FIVE DAYS at a discounted rate.

Adult  - Daily Pass  $10.00

Tournament Pass  $25.00

District & State Tournament Eligibility

·        Players, Coaches and Manager MUST be listed on regular season and tournament roster.

·        Teams MUST play a minimum of 10 games during regular season.

·        Players MUST play in 50% of their team’s regular season scheduled games.

·        Players may be rostered on any tournament team provided they meet age criteria, regardless of regular season.

·        Official Scorebook MUST be maintained for regular season games and be made available to District Commissioner for verification prior to District Tournament.

·        Regular Season Schedule for ALL teams must be submitted to District Commissioner for verification prior to first scheduled regular season game.

·        Regular Season games played prior to Team Roster being submitted and available online WILL NOT COUNT toward Team/Player eligibility. 


·        All Leagues are subject to the shared District boundary.

Teams that elect to follow the written rules in the 2019 rule book regarding team/player eligibility will not be allowed to play in the district tournament. They can compete in the Florida State championships and will be placed in thier own bracket. This will include any travel ball teams that are playing within any recreational softball league at the reccomendation of the district or state commissioner.
