John's Reminders for weeek #2
If you still cannot get into League Lineup to put your score in of your game just text me at 814-935-6050 and I
will put it in for you. Try that work around that I sent you from League Lineup and make your own password.
Week #1 went great with a couple of close games. The head coaches, assistants coaches and most of all the
players had very competitive games. That's what it's all about (FTD=Fun, Teach and Decisions). Also the
parents and fans were GREAT as we had good attendence at all games.
REMEMBER: Official game if called for rain or darkness is 4 1/2 innings if HOME team is ahead and 5 innings if
AWAY team ahead. That's why you see me trying to keep the players HUSTLE on and off the field so they can
play 7 innings!!!!
Reminders for Week # 1
- Umpires should be paid BEFORE the game starts. PIAA umps receive $70 and a C&I ump gets $60.
- All games start at 6 PM sharp as the sun sets around 8:20 PM so you can get 7 innings in!!!
- Home team should be off the field by 5:40 PM so the visiting team can warm up and start at 6 PM.
- Run rule is in effect: 15 runs after 3 innings or 10 runs after 5 innings.
- If it is raining or field is bad, please call your umpires by 4:30 PM to cancel the game.
- All head coaches and assistants should read thru by laws on League Lineup.
- Anything else call John at 814-935-6050 or Jeff Hertzog at 814-937-3567.
- Above all else remember my FTD slogan. F=FUN, T=TEACH & Learn, D=DECISION making in the game.
- Best of luck to all and enjoy the experience!!!
John's Reminders
I wish to welcome back everyone to our C&I Baseball League. Welcome to some of our new coaches and give them all
the support you can as they help these young men become model citizens and move on in life. They are Hillsdale- Scott Stein,
Nanty Glo- Rob Miller, Northern Cambria- Jon Smarsh and John Rouse Jr and Irvona- Lee and Kate Mazenko. Thanks for all
you do as that one commercial used to say "PRICELESS"!!!
I am working on assigning umpires for the first 2 weeks of the season. Nanty Glo needs some help in moving some dates
as Robbie Miller has a Legion team and we have some conflicts. I will try to contact those involved so help us out as I need these
changes so I can finish the umpire schedule.
I also picked up our baseballs on Saturday and will pass them out on Thursday May 4 at the meeting. We are fortunate to
get them as our distributor didn't have one baseball in the warehouse 3 weeks ago.
