Bigger Than Basketball!!!

The DC Queens 2020 visited the National Civil Rights/Underground Railroad Museum while in CIncinatti, OH for the 7th Grade AAU National Championship. This was a great experience as the girls were able to see the original copy of the Emancipation Proclamation,  see 1st hand a slave house and quarters in which slaves had to live in. The girls even had the opportunity to pick and get pricked picking cotton......talk about an eye opening experience. No one plays basketball forever and this is why I do what I do! During the 2014 National trip we visited the Lorraine Motel and National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN so this is what we do! We are building winners on and off the court......winners in life!!! Pics coming soon.

AAU Nationals is right around the corner.

The #1 PG in the country Moriah Jefferson who is a 3-time Women's Basketball National Champion with UCONN and 2015 Nancy Lieberman Award Winner for the Top PG in Women's College Basketball stopped by to hang with the DC Queens 2020. Moriah is a hometown hero and like family to our team. Every year she stops by to talk with the girls, they train and they learn from one of the top players in the country. Moriah has been a winner at every level from HS national Championships to USA Gold Medals to 3-time NCAA National Champion she is a true winner on and off the court and we are thankful to have someone like her positively influence our girls! Thank you Mo' and good luck in Canada this summer with team USA!

DCQ 2020 Finish as Runner Up of 2015 We Got Game Classic

Great game as the DC Queens 2020 and Arlington Lady Hurricanes 2020 went back and forth and even needed an overtime period to decide the final outcome as the Lady Hurricanes pulled it out in Overtime. This was our 1st tournament with new players and we have two starters out so I am very excited about the teams' future. Great work! #DCQ4L

Congratulations to the DC Queens 2020 (A.K.A. Conquerors) for winning the T.A.A.F.(Texas Amateur Athletic Federation) Region VII Championship over a very talented Cedar Hill Bad Girls! Even missing one of the regular starters and limited practice because inclement weather all the girls stepped their games up to pull out the big win! Very proud of the growth I've seen in these girls mentally and physically. I am big time excited about the 2015 club season. The girls now advance to the TAAF State Championships to be held in Waco, TX from March 20-22, 2015. So come on out and support and once the schedule is released we will post and tweet a link for the schedule. Thank you all for the love and support as this group is very special. DC Queens 2020 Take Houston by Storm!!!

The DC Queens 2020 visited Houston on April 11-3, 2014 to participate in the Primetime Sportz Spring Blast & National Qualifier. The girls came out on fire in games 1 & 2 winning both games by 30 points. Our division also featured the Houston Lady Hoopstarz who finished 4th at Primetime Sportz National Championship. Both teams looked very impressive in their early games thus creating hype about the Sunday matchup with the Queens vs. Hoopstarz. Both teams were 3-0 heading into the final game of the Round Robin style tournament ultimately the Championship game as the winner would take home the Gold. The DCQ 2020 were very relaxed before the game but once the ball went up for the opening tip it was SHOWTIME! The Queens were on a mission as the dominated every facet of the game to jump out to a 20-0 lead in the 1st 6 minutes of the game.  As talented as the Lady Hoopstarz squad is I knew the game wasn't over at that we had to be ready for them to make a run. The DCQ 2020 continued to play well and maintained a 20 point plus lead even as the Hoopstarz made their adjustments to try t get back in the game. The Queens finished strong and pulled out the dominating win 48-19 vs. the Houston Lady Hoopstarz. I am very proud of the effort & intensity the girls played with all weekend. The girls have made tremendous leaps & bounds and they are definitely headed in the right direction as we prepare for AAU Nationals.
