SAINT RITA PRAY FOR US

The Longhorns Baseball Club began in June of 2011 on a promise to bring one of my players back to Cooperstown. Since then it is has taken off. Our goal is to provide Long Island youth baseball players the opportunity to learn and excel on and off the field. Our teams are composed of players from various travel teams (we schedule around your primary team's schedule to prevent conflict and promote loyalty to your team) to play in some of the nation's largest and most prestigious tournaments including Cooperstown. This level of competition provides the mindset that they can truly play with anyone. There is no reason that they should be sitting on the couch while kids they played against when they were younger are receiving scholarships or playing on TV. Stereotypically, Southern teams are better not because "they play all year round" (we do too) but because they out work us. We are trying to break that stereotype and place the idea in our players' minds that they can be whatever they want if they work each and every day. Whether their dream is to be a doctor, politician, teacher or professional athlete, believing is the only way to make that possible.
