Passing of Ray Mills
Raymond Sheldon Mills
March 7, 1939 - March 16, 2026
Ray Mills - One of the founders of the MORSL league in 1977 has passed away.
Ray played in the leagoe for over 20 years and will be missed by many of the players who have played with.
Obituary is as follows...
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Ray Mills, a loving husband of Carol Mills for 65 wonderful years and loving father to Scott Mills and Sandra Mills (Tom Proszowski).
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ray enjoyed both watching and participating in many activities. In his later years, he especially treasured a good round of golf. He was also a familiar and friendly face at the Second Cup in Markham, where he formed many warm connections and friendships.
Ray was deeply loved by the community at Unionville Alliance Church, where he greeted everyone with kindness—and often a hug. His warmth and generosity of spirit touched many people.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Dixon Garland Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the War Amps of Canada would be appreciated in Ray’s memory.
