The Mount Olive Marauders are fast-pitch softball organization based in Morris County and are affiliated with the Mount Olive Baseball & Softball Association. The Marauders field teams each travel season from 8U to 14U depending on interest and talent in the respective age group. The Marauders will field the best team possible at each age level and may have multiple teams at various ages. 

The Marauders promote teamwork, friendship, and good sportsmanship. The program focuses on teaching the fast-pitch game and player development. There are organized winter workouts including a hitting program and fielding program held indoors at local facilities. 

The program promotes building upon fundamentals and aims to prepare the girls to transition through various age levels, up to and including high school. Coaches lead and support the program by working together to serve the best interests of the organization, respective teams, and players.

Description of Commitment

FALL: Marauders teams participate in a fall league (generally Sept-Oct) at 8U & 10U.  12U and 14U may participate in a fall league and/or tournaments but these schedules will be at the discretion of the head coach.

WINTER: All teams will participate in winter workouts and pitchers / catchers workouts (generally Jan-Mar). 

SPRING: Teams may participate League play and in some one-day friendly tournaments and scrimmages in April & May to prepare for the main season including our own "Spring Fling" tournament.

SUMMER: Marauder teams participate in Tournament play throughout June and early July.  Schedules vary and will be planned by each team early in the year.  Every reasonable effort should be made to adjust your vacation schedules accordingly as this is the main season for travel softball. Teammates and coaches put forth effort all year and rely on their teammate's participation.

TRYOUTS: Tryouts for the next season will be held during late June or July. Dates will be coming soon.

Mount Olive Marauders Softball will be hosting its annual Spring Fling one day friendly softball tournament on Saturday May 4, 2024 for 10U & 14U and Sunday May 5, 2024 for 8U & 12U.

This tournament is open to town level 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U teams.

Games will be played at Dan Jordan Fields in Flanders NJ

3 game friendly tournament for all teams with MVP medals awarded each game.

Top 2 seeds in each age group play Championship as 3rd game.

Fields lined and groomed for every game.

Option to play one game on Friday May 3rd.

$425 entry fee by April 1st.  Fee includes umpires and game balls.

USA Softball has announced new age cutoffs to better align players within their respective school grades.  The new age cutoffs will be effective for the 2024 season which begins September 1, 2023.

Mount Olive Travel Softball is once again hosting our annual 8U Spring Softball league.

Teams of varying experience levels from all over Northern New Jersey compete in a 10-12 game regular season from April through June.

Schedules are flexible and teams typically play one to two games per week.

The season culminates with a single elimination tournament style playoff held at the end of the season in Mount Olive.

All teams will qualify for playoffs provided minimum game requirements are met.

Trophies are awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams.
