Columbus Varsity Cougars Defeated By Billings Senior Varsity Broncs

Columbus Varsity Cougars lost to Billings Senior Varsity Broncs 7-6 on Monday at Granite Peak Park.
Columbus Varsity Cougars got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Kettenacker grounded out, and Johnston walked, each scoring one run.
A fly out by West extended the Columbus Varsity Cougars lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Billings Senior Varsity Broncs tied the game up in the top of the seventh thanks to two singles. Billings Senior Varsity Broncs tied the game at four on a single by Erekson.
In the top of the eighth, Billings Senior Varsity Broncs broke up the tie when Sullivan drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a single by Jenks followed to extend the lead to 7-4.
Chamberlin stepped on the bump first for Columbus Varsity Cougars. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Fuller started on the mound for Billings Senior Varsity Broncs. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and two runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking three.
Chamberlin drove the middle of the lineup, leading Columbus Varsity Cougars with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Caton went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Columbus Varsity Cougars in hits. Columbus Varsity Cougars had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Dickson and Johnston led the team with two bases on balls each. Waltner stole two bases. Columbus Varsity Cougars stole four bases in the game.
Billings Senior Varsity Broncs amassed 10 hits in the game. Sullivan went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Billings Senior Varsity Broncs in hits. JenksKoch, and Erekson each drove in two runs for Billings Senior Varsity BroncsSeveran collected two hits for Billings Senior Varsity Broncs in five at bats. Billings Senior Varsity Broncs had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Billings Senior Varsity Broncs were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Franks made the most plays with seven.

Widmer was dominant on the hill, as the pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Hamilton Broncs (V)'s 10-0 victory over MAC Bulldogs Varsity ‘26 on Monday. Widmer allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none.
Hamilton Broncs (V) got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tadvick singled to center field, and MAC Bulldogs Varsity ‘26 committed an error, each scoring one run.
A ground out by Bakken extended the Hamilton Broncs (V) lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Helser started on the mound for MAC Bulldogs Varsity ‘26. The righty allowed eight hits and five runs (four earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four.
Hamilton Broncs (V) accumulated 13 hits in the game. DeMoss and Cardullo were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Hamilton Broncs (V). Tadvick, Lubke, Widmer, and Lawrence each collected multiple hits for Hamilton Broncs (V). Quinn led Hamilton Broncs (V) with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Widmer, Cardullo, and Huddleston each stole multiple bases for Hamilton Broncs (V). Fifth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Lockwood Past Huntley Project Varsity Red Devils
April 16, 2026 vs. Lockwood
Lockwood defeated Huntley Project Varsity Red Devils 10-0 on Thursday thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning.
Lockwood got on the board in the second inning after Stensland singled, scoring two runs.
Lockwood added one run in the third after Lienemann singled down the left field line.
Javier hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fourth for the Lockwood.
Lockwood scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning. Soapes drew a walk, scoring one run, Javier drew a walk, scoring one run, Stensland drew a walk, scoring one run, Thompson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Soapes lined out, scoring one run.
Osness stepped on the hill first for Huntley Project Varsity Red Devils. The lefty surrendered six hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking three. Soapes stepped on the bump first for Lockwood. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking four.
Kaczmarek, Reynolds, and Toepke each collected one hit for Huntley Project Varsity Red Devils.
Lockwood amassed nine hits in the game. Stensland went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Thompson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lockwood in hits. Lockwood had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Soapes and Doran led the team with two free passes each. Lockwood didn't commit a single error in the field. Javier had the most chances in the field with three.

Ray Varsity Jays defeated Sidney Varsity Eagles 2026 14-3 on Thursday at Moose Park thanks in part to nine runs in the fourth inning.
Ray Varsity Jays were the first to get on the board in the first when Johnson singled, scoring one run.
Bower walked, which helped Sidney Varsity Eagles 2026 tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Ray Varsity Jays took the lead in the top of the second. Beech singled, scoring two runs, to give Ray Varsity Jays the lead, 3-1.
Ray Varsity Jays added two runs in the third after Schafer singled down the left field line.
