N.E.O. FREEZE YOUTH SPORTS ORGANIZATION
ABOUT THE FREEZE:
We are a Tournament Fastpitch team organization dedicated to the development of young ladies into competitive softball athletes.
This organization is not about developing its image as a premier organization but about developing players to be premier athletes. This includes development of softball skills as well as the traits of sportsmanship and mutual respect.
The Freeze exists to provide opportunities for girls to have fun playing tournament softball. We believe in teamwork, sportsmanship, learning strong personal and team values through athletics. But mainly, we exist to have fun by playing competitive softball.
If a girl is going to play for the FREEZE, she needs to consider it fun to play dozens of games in potentially bad weather under pressure-filled conditions against other highly competitive teams. The FREEZE takes softball seriously. We provide an opportunity for girls who take softball seriously to have fun and learn.
We take commitments seriously. If we offer you a roster spot and you accept, we’ll keep our commitment to you. We expect you to keep yours to us. Once you accept a roster spot, we expect you to stay with us through the season no matter how many other teams may try to recruit you. We also recognize commitments in the travel ball community, and unlike some organizations, we do not recruit players once they commit to another travel team.
We do not give guarantees to players for positions or playing time. If you are a good enough player such that another team will guarantee you a certain position or 100% playing time and you would rather not have to compete for those things, the Freeze is not for you. If you do not want to compete for playing time or positions, there likely aren’t many college programs for you, either. We insist the ladies hustle, keep their jerseys tucked in and act with sportsmanship and class. Similarly, our coaches are required to be in a coach’s uniform and to act like a coach of young athletes should act.
