Lincolnway Special Recreation Association is bringing the National Wheelchair Basketball Championships to our area!!  March 29-31 come support some amazing athletes and see what LWSRA is all about.  Visit LWSRA.ORG/NWBA for information about games and schedule.  Volunteers are needed for this awesome event!!! We hear the Easter Bunny is planning a visit to Peotone!  Saturday April 13 from 10-11am will be the Park's Easter Egg Dash in the PJHS Gym.  Kids up to age 10 will be able to gather toy filled eggs, decorate cookies, and enter for a chance to win a bike or scooter.  This is a fun free family event, and we will have additional goodies for our guests to enjoy.  All kids will be able to enter into the bike or scooter raffle, and the winners will be announced at approximately 10:45am.  If you would like to volunteer to help with this event or sponsor an item for the raffle please call the Park Manager at (708) 258-3343.     

Our current Senior Yoga session is FULL.  Thank you ladies for making this program a huge success!!

This Saturday March 23 will be the final day of the High School Level basketball tournament.  Thank you to the players, coaches, and all who helped with this first season.  Games will be played in the Connor Shaw Gym with the first game starting at 4pm, and the final game scheduled to start at 8pm (if necessary a 9pm game will be played to determine league champion). 

Registration is now closed for the 2019 season.  Families will be contacted with teams, practices, and game schedule at a later date. 

The Park will hold Adult Rec Basketball at the Connor Shaw Center.  Spring Session will start the week of January 6 and run through the week of May 26.  If you are interested in this program please contact the nightly representative below.

Rec Care is currently an after school program through the Peotone Park District that is located at Peotone Elementary and Peotone Intermediate Center.  Rec Care runs from the end of the school day to 6pm, and also early release days.  There is no Rec Care if school is not in session.  Parents can choose either location for their children, even if they do not attend that school, and transportation will be provided between schools.  There is a registration fee, but you are charged only for the days your child attends the program.  It is a great solution for those "just in case" moments when parents have meetings or appointments that may run long, or a fun option for kids to spend more time with friends in a secure environment. 

There are many park improvements planned for the coming months.  Please be aware of your surroundings and use caution when visiting the parks. 

Unauthorized motorized vehicles (cars/ trucks, golf carts, atv's) are NOT allowed on Park grounds or paths.  This is to ensure the safety of all who visit our Parks and to avoid damage to the Park grounds or facilities.  If you have a special need to access a Park facility (helping the elderly or handicapped) please contact the Park Office.  Park motorized vehicles in designated areas.  

On January 2, 2019 we will start accepting family and individual Out-of-District Fees for 2019.  If you plan to participate in any activity taking place on the Peotone Park District grounds and your permanent residence is out of the Park boundaries (Village of Peotone), you will be assessed an Out-of-District fee.  This is separate than program registration fees and must be paid before participation in Park programs or other programs taking place on park grounds (youth baseball/softball, MYSA soccer, etc.)

The fee structure is $25.00 for an individual or $50.00 for a family (more than 1 person).  This fee covers the calendar year.  This fee can be paid in a variety of ways:

- in the Park Office during regular office hours

- mailed to the Park Office

- at various registration events throughout the year

- on-line (Debit/credit only, processing fee is included in final price)
