The Southern Basketball Academy is a Basketball Academy located in Southwest Atlanta, Ga. The SBA Academy offers Individual Skill Training, Strength & Conditioning and Travel Ball Team Programs. The coaching staff consists of former college players who are dedicated to the development of tomorrow's future stars.

Southern Basketball Academy was founded by former A.H. Parker High School, Shelton State Community College and Div. II  Miles College basketball attendant Danny Davis. Our Academy provides training and instruction to both male and female players ages 6 and up. Coach Davis is a certified basketball trainer and has coached at all levels.  

Our academy provide elementary, middle, high school and college level training sessions. We focus on strength training, ball handling skills, guard play and shooting, post offense and defense, team concepts, one on one concepts, rebounding, fundamentals of offensive cutting, movement without the ball, and other high level basketball skills.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Southern Basketball Academy is to foster the growth and passion for the game of basketball by providing an opportunity for youths to improve their skills and self-confidence through instructions. The Southern Basketball Academy mission is also to create an environment where young boys and girls learn the meaning of discipline, morals, respect, dedication, setting goals and developing character that will carry them throughout their lifetime. We also will blend individuals into a team with the opportunity to improve on fundamentals, position skill set, and increase knowledge of the game, while attempting to optimize both personal and team potential. A particular important part of our mission is to prepare each team member to use their talents to achieve scholarships so that they may attain a higher education.
