Stafford Little League 2020 Spring Season

(Update - 5/12/20)

To our parents, legal guardians, coaches, volunteers, our community and local businesses,

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in connection with Governor Murphy’s stay at home order, Stafford Little League (“the League”) has made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel its 2020 Spring season.

Our main focus has always been about “kids playing baseball”, however, the safety of our children and our community must come first and we feel this is the right decision. This was not an easy decision and was based on the uncertainty of the current public-health emergency and state of emergency ordered by the state.

The League is volunteer-based and the registration fees that we endorse per Little League’s guidelines offset our operational costs to run the League.

The list below shows the current lost revenue, to date, for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

Little League – Charter and District Fees*

Equipment – including Uniforms (Deposits) and Baseballs

Trophies (Deposits)

*Little League is providing a credit for these fees, not a refund.

As this global pandemic is an unfortunate situation that is out of our control, the League kindly asking you to accept a credit for a future season in order to help us offset the lost revenue the League has incurred due to the pandemic.

If you have a player aging out of the League and you have other children enrolled, you may use the refund credit towards their registration fees in the future.

We are hopeful and shifting our attention to the 2020 Fall season.

All 2020 Spring registration fees collected will be applied toward the upcoming:

2020 Fall season; or

2021 Spring season

We hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
