Trojan Heart and Pride Youth Wrestling

Trojan Heart and Pride Youth Wrestling is Back for 2025/26!!

Practice will again be at Anderson High School in the Dance/Wrestling gym on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  The first practice is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th.

This club is the closest USA wrestling club for anyone living in Austin north of the river.  We are dedicated to providing quality wrestling instruction at a low cost for all boys and girls living in Austin.  Wrestling is a popular sport in high school, and learning good fundamentals in elementary and middle school will provide students with a strong advantage when they get to high school.  Wrestling is a great second sport for football players, and basketball is the only sport where the seasons conflict.

Elementary School (2nd to 5th grade) 6-7pm:   6 week Introduction to Wrestling course:  This course will provide a balanced introduction to wrestling fundamentals presented in a safe and fun environment. This year we will provide an option for older elementary wrestlers to compete in tournaments and/or continue through the state tournament in February.  If you choose to compete, there will be an additional $40 fee to purchase competition shorts/shirt.  You do not have to make that decision when you register. The registration fee is $50 and you must also purchase a USA wrestling card for $55. Purchasing the card provides some insurance benefits and is a requirement for members of all USA wrestling clubs. 

Middle School (6th-8th) 7-8:30 pm.  You do not need previous experience to register for this wrestling program. You will learn wrestling fundamentals in a safe and fun environment.   The season starts in November and ends with the state tournament in February. Participation in tournaments is optional but encouraged. The registration fee is $100 and you must also purchase a USA wrestling card for $55. Purchasing the card provides some insurance benefits and is a requirement for members of all USA wrestling clubs.

The cost is $50 for elementary students and $100 for middle school students.  Everyone must also purchase a USA wrestling card for $55 prior to the first practice.  Purchasing the card provides some insurance benefits and is a requirement for all members of all USA wrestling clubs.  

Trojan Heart and Pride is the North Austin location of Heart and Pride Wrestling.  Heart and Pride Wrestling will also continue to operate out of our Leander facility at 190 North Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX 78641

Note: The first practice will be Tuesday, November 4th. 

Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday at the Anderson Dance/Wrestling gym  Elementary school practice is 6pm to 7pm and middle school practice is 7pm to 8:30pm. You will receive detailed instructions on how to get there and what you will need for practice.

Everyone (2nd-8th) must also sign up for a USA wrestling card before the first practice. The cost is $55. This card allows you to compete in any USA Wrestling certified competition and also provides insurance benefits in your USA Wrestling certified practice.  Check the information below for detailed instructions about signing up for the card.

For new wrestlers:

1. Go to this url: https://www.usawmembership.com
2. Click the create free account button (This free account will be in a parent's name!)
3. You can then create a profile for your wrestler(s)
4. Purchase the membership for the profile you created!  You can see a video here: https://www.usawmembership.com/help/category/3/question/14

For returning wrestlers:

1. Go to this url: https://www.usawmembership.com
2. Log in to your parent account.
3. You should see the previously created profile for your wrestler(s).
4. Click the renew membership button, and purchase!
