Awards Ceremony

On September 18, 2015, Director Albert Vargas of the Vineland Police Athletic League was on hand to honor the participants of several PAL programs and their coaches.  On hand for this ceremony were several guests that were mentioned, specifically Mayor Ruben Bermudez, former Director Louis Quiles, and Board of Directors member, Jeffrey Bordley.  

Receiving an honor for his tireless participation and assistance with the Police Athletic League was Charles Fisher.  Mr. Fisher has been part of the Vineland Police Athletic League prior to its official charter in the organization.  Mr. Fisher has made strides to help this organization further its mission to help children stay off of the streets where trouble lurks.

Also receiving praise from Director Vargas and the PAL Organization were Derrick Byrd and Al Lundy for their continued support and coaching throughout the past decade and more. 

Receiving other awards were the Girls In Action (GIA Girls - wearing Pink Shirts) for their community service, volunteer services, and their continued path to being female leaders in our community.  

Overall, the night was a great success and serves as a motivation for these youngsters to continue to excel in sports and leadership.  The night concluded with Pizza and other refreshments being enjoyed by all of the participants of tonights event.  As always, we would like to thank all of our sponsors for their donations and continued support.
