Christine Rizzacasa has played the game of softball for over 15 years, including 4 years at New York Institute of Technology. Since the age of 5, her love of the sport has grown immensely. Christine played for the Long Island Pride and Long Island Express organizations as well as volunteered for both LAC and Blue Fire organizations, ranging from age groups 8u to 16u.

During her time at NYIT from 2014-2018, her and her teammates achieved many accomplishments such as 2 conference tournament appearances, 1 regular season championship and 1 NCAA tournament appearance. Christine mainly appeared in the outfield but as a utility player had some appearances at 2nd base.

In 2016, Christine joined the Nitro organization and immediately made an impact on her players through her positive nature and her knowledge of the game. She prides herself in developing players to be the best of their ability, while maintaining their love for the sport. She strives to be a resource and educator in the college recruiting process ofr all girls who want to play softball in college. Currently, Christine is the head coach of the Nitro 08, prior to this she was the head coach for TNLI 18U Elite

Academically, Christine is working towards her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and will graduate in May of 2020. She hopes to work with athletes recovering from injury and be able to get them back to their sport as quickly and as close to their previous level of function as possible.
