I enjoy playing and not talking and I'm sure you don't even play because if you did you would show your name clown. Swan and Pete you guys got a great league going. Keep up the good work. I had the game 14-13 at the half that was right had it being a 1pt 2pt game had that right had the game coming down to an extra point had that right just to the wrong team. Silverbacks had a nice run and were hot i had to roll with them on my prediction. Stallions last year had a easy route while Caos had to beat silverbacks and spartans and had the chip game won but lost to stallions on a hail mary. Fast forward to silverbacks, had to go up against the top notch comp and lost in a thriller on what some will say a kick return in the chip. That hurts to work that hard, have the championship in your grasp and lose. Congrats to both teams and Congrats to the champions Caos. |

I have about 5 rule change proposals now. Also, i would like to add I'll be getting the field permits very soon as I have already discussed getting them with the Rec office to make sure we secure the field for Fall/Winter. I would like to get a $100 deposit around mid-August from everyone as well to pay for this and to make sure your team is committed for the season. The only investment we should have to make this year is another set of field lines and the permits (maybe a box of paint to mark mid/goal lines). We will be teaching others how to do the field lines as Swan and I aren't lining every field every Sunday. It takes 15 mins after a few repetitions. Definitely trying to get a team or two to up the competition though so spread the word. Congrats Caos. |

Great game, came down to the final drive and both teams played at a championship level. We had the lead for majority of the game, but they never wavered and made the big plays at the end to win it. H was a big problem at the rusher position and he deserved the MVP in my eyes. From a personal standpoint, yes I wish I could've contributed more. It was frustrating for me not to be at 100%, but that doesn't take anything away from Caos and what they accomplished. One man doesn't make a squad and me going down means other people have to step-up. I thought my guys did and I'm proud of them for the way they played all year, especially on this long playoff run with so many people saying we weren't good enough or guaranteeing victory against us. They beat us and there is no excuses from me or my squad. There is also no excuses about the divisions and all that other b.s. that I've been hearing. You play with the cards you are dealt. Period. Now putting my commissioner hat on for a minute, a few more things. One, these colors are ugly as hell lol. I'm sure everyone but Caos will agree, but if ya don't like it, win the chip. Second, I'm glad we made it through this season and I think we added a few things that hopefully everyone likes. I think the field lines help everyone out including the refs, I like the trophies and most of all I like the transparency from Pete. No more are we going to question where the money is going and what the payout is going to be. Everyone will know where every dollar went to and will know who is responsible for what and also who paid for what and when. The pot was $2300 this year which was light due to circumstances out of our hands. Assuming we have the same teams back next year, it will be closer to $3000. Also I'm putting this out there now, league fees will be collected by week 4. No excuses. If you don't have the money by week 4, your team will forfeit every game until you have it. $350 is the fee divided by 15 guys on a roster is about $24 a person. If you can't save $24 between now and September 3rd or hell by October 1st which is the week 4 deadline, then you got other issues and probably should be working on Sunday. Schedule wise, we'd like to put a mid-August tournament together assuming we have enough teams. I believe we have 6 right now. Would like to double that. Pete will be sending out a text to get commitments from the captains. If not, we are looking to start the season the first Sunday in September, which is September 3rd. With a 10 week season, that will have the championship game on Sunday December 10th. Yes I know that's Labor Day weekend, no we don't care if you're down the shore. Starting on the 3rd also gives us a built in week for the inevitable weather cancellation that we always have and push the chip to the 17th. We're trying to avoid playing into the Christmas/New Years holiday which would put the championship game into that 2nd week of January. As for the captains meeting, I encourage everyone to be there from all teams. Let me state that again, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO BE THERE. If you're not there, don't bitch about rule changes, divisions or not knowing the new rules once the season starts. If you're that guy, you have yourself to blame. Lastly, spread the word about this league and feel free to hand out mine or Pete's number to any teams you think would be a good addition to the league. More competition is always good.
