Crotona #4 Overview

  • Surface: natural grass/turf with no infield grass

  • Fencing: none

  • Restrooms: in Crotona Park along Crotona Ave, but not near the field

  • Safety warning: there are light poles in the middle of the outfield. Advise players to be careful when running in the outfield.

Nearest intersection: Crotona Park North & Prospect Ave

Mass Transit:

  • 2/5-trains: Take the or trains to 174th Street. Walk north along Southern Boulevard for one block. Turn left onto Crotona Park East. Walk to the edge of the park, then follow the park to the RIGHT along Crotona Park North. Walk three blocks to Prospect Ave, and enter the park there. Field #4 is the large field immediately there, with concrete bleachers. Reminder: the train runs express in the uptown direction in the afternoon. Take the train if traveling uptown.

  • Nearby buses: Bx15 on 3rd Ave, Bx17 on Crotona Ave, Bx40/42 on Tremont Ave
