Prep Baseball - Iowa is excited to announce that their annual Summer ID Showcase Series will now include a new event at the beautiful Bishop Mueller Baseball Field & Complex on the campus of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, taking place on Sunday, August 23, 2026. This event at Briar Cliff will be an opportunity to show off your game and the improvements you made during the season, and also to gain exposure to and attention from college baseball coaches.

So whether you are an UNCOMMITTED upperclassman or an underclassman baseball player wanting to have your skills measured and begin the introductory phase of the college baseball recruiting process, the Prep Baseball Summer ID Showcases have everything a high school player needs with the goal of playing college baseball.

About:

Tyler Cropley is the new Iowa Scouting Director for Prep Baseball Report here in 2026, and he wanted Total Baseball Development to pass this Prep Baseball Report information along to you. Cropley is a 2014 Heelan graduate, and went on to play college baseball at Iowa Western Community College and at the University of Iowa.  In 2018 he was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 8th round of the MLB draft.  The Kansas City Royals then signed Cropley in 2020.  Ultimately in 2023 he made his MLB Debut on September 19 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, complete with a hit and an RBI versus the Cleveland Guardians!  In 2024 Cropley opted for professional retirement and returned back to Iowa City to complete his undergraduate degree.  In 2025 he started working with Prep Baseball Iowa.  Its great to have Tyler back in Iowa helping the young players with the game of baseball!!!
