60+ Senior Division Rules

60+ SENIOR DIVISION RULES FOR 2024 SEASON

The 60+ Senior Division plays according to the same rules governing the Colford Division, with the following exceptions:

1) Whenever the written rule (as stated below) is in conflict with the intent of the rule, the intent will be enforced.

2) No team will be allowed to score more than five runs per inning through the first six innings. This rule will be suspended for the playoffs.

3) Each team is allowed only one successful steal per inning, or one attempted double steal.

4) All batters, regardless of age, may not be thrown out at first base on any batted ball that reaches the outfield grass

5) Outfielders must remain positioned on the outfiled grass until a pitched ball is put in play

6) The A/B option in the batting order is in effect

7) Each team is allowed 2 courtesy runners who must be identified before the game begins. The CR must be the last batted out (pitchers and cathers are excluded). Thee CR may not steal or advance on a wild pitch or passed ball.

8) All dropped third strikes are an out

9) To be eligible to play in the 60+ Division each player must turn 60 By Dec. 31, 2024. Exception, each team may have two underage players - underage players must turn 59 by Dec. 31, 2024 and are not allowed to pitch.
