3rd & 4th Grade Girls and Boys

All players must play at least one half of every game unless the team has more than 10 players. Each player must sit out of the game at least 4 minutes unless the team only has five players. All players on the bench must enter the game every four minutes. The Referee will stop the game on the first change of possession after the four-minute mark of each quarter to allow for substitutions. If there are more than five players on the bench, the players who do not enter the game at a substitution break must enter at the next break. The only exception would be when a coach needs to discipline a player by benching him. The opposing coach should be notified prior to the start of the game of any players being disciplined.

The opposing coach should be notified prior to the start of the game of any players being disciplined.

Tournament

For the playoffs/tournament if you are expecting kids to be late you must let the other coach know prior to tipoff. All players must be in the official scorebook prior to the game starting (if they are not in the official scorebook and show up after tipoff they cannot play in the game). If the player shows up in the first half; playing time rules apply as normal. If the player shows up after halftime (3rd quarter) the player has to play at least 1 four minute stretch. If the player shows up at the start of or in the 4th quarter he cannot play at all.
