To All,

 We had our organizational meeting take place last night (11/14/13) to elect the 2014 board of directors.  I want to personally thank those who have stepped forward and took a position on the board.  Without a board to run this league we would have no league and our kids would go without baseball or softball.  With that being said we still have a few positions we need to fill.  The following are still open positions:  VP of Tee Ball,  Player agent for tee ball and instructional baseball, and VP of Concession.  This last one is very important as without our concession stand our player costs would raise a min of $40 per player. So if you are interested please call me at 914-760-6367.

 The 2013 board did a lot of great things to help improve our league without mentioning our fields are the best around and this year we have completed phase 2 of our batting cages.  We have redone the base of the batting cages and the turf has been delivered and will be installed once the winter breaks.  All of our little League equipment has been paid off so we own free and clear, we have invested in new windscreens for most of our fields with logos that will be on our fields next year. With the help of our two tournaments we run for charity causes the monies donated back from them have make this league solvent as well as improved our facility. Those tournaments and our concession stand have help us keep our player costs the same for next year.

 This year we are moving to online registration for all returning players. All new players to the league will still have to come to one of the two open registration dates but returning players can register online. Our board meets every first Thursday of the month you are welcome to attend and if you would like to address the board please contact us prior to the meeting. This league is for your children.

 In closing it takes a lot of volunteer hours to run this league and we always need help. So please get involved either by joining the board or donating some hours of your time.

As we come to the close of the 2013 season I would like to thank all of the board for their time and work to make this year a success.  In order for this league to be a success its about the volunteers that put endless hours to insure our children have a safe and fun place to play baseball and softball.  We are still the largest organization in area and we need help if we want this to continue.  Please sign up and run for a board position or at the very least put in to help out. As you will notice thanks to J Lamando Fund  we are in the process of finishing the 2^nd stage of the batting cages by installing turf throughout the cages. This will be complete before spring 2014 season. The 3^rd and final stage will be putting a roof over top but this will not happen without help from volunteers to help support the Lamando tournament and our own Little League.  I hope you all had an enjoyable 2013 season and look forward to working together to make 2014 better.
