Palmyra wins second straight Cup in OT

Senior Drew Poleshuk scored exactly three minutes into overtime as the Cougars defended their Bears Cup title with a 4-3 win over Cumberland Valley.  Cumberland Valley were in the driver’s seat early and led 2-0 after one period. Tyler DePuy scored on the powerplay midway through the second period to get Palmyra rolling. Cam Ihli put a slap shot past Gallagher to draw the Cougars even in the third period. However, Steven Capuano put Cumberland Valley back in the lead 15 seconds later. But with the goaltender pulled Brendan Daily equalized the game with 1:11 left in the 3rd period and sent the game to overtime.  Despite being under the weather, Palmyra goaltender Liam Schmidt made 15 saves for the victory.
