Team Nitro Long Island Fastpitch

Congrats to TNLI 04 for taking 2nd place at the 2017 CYA Firecracker Tournament this past weekend. The girls showed what true worrier's they were by playing 10 games in 2 days only to come up just short losing in the finals 5 to 4.

The tournament which was suppose to be a 3 day event, had its games rained out on Friday forcing them to be played all on Saturday. After going 2 and 1 in pool play Saturday, they played the first game in Championship round Saturday afternoon, losing a close game and placing them into the loser's bracket having to play a 5th game which they won.

Then on Sunday, they continued beating each of the 4 teams they faced out of the losers bracket to set them up for a shot at the Championship in game 5 on Sunday (10 for the entire weekend). They held a close lead going into the 7th inning eventually losing a heart breaker 5 to 4. Never the less, the girls played amazing and they showed grit and determination with a never given in attitude the entire weekend. Congrats Ladies on a job well do!
