And listen until the end when Meulens invites the Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis, ‘The O’s”, to his native island country of Curaçao for baseball, beaches, and fun!

2025 TBD Fall League
for High Schoolers; 8th - 12th Grades
With two primary playing locations of:
Sioux City, Iowa and the Iowa Great Lakes
 
The TBD Fall League ~ It's Where Great Things Begin ~ Since 2005
 
 
The 2025 TBD Fall League for High Schoolers includes:
  • 5 Sundays of competitive baseball; September 7, 14, 21, 28, and October 5
  • 3 hours each Sunday = We play a format of two 5 inning games in these 3 hour sessions!
  • And jerseys with numbers for EVERY player included in your sign up as always since 2005!
  • Competitive Tournament Style Scheduling all fall.
  • The last Sunday of October 5 is Championship Sunday, and all teams will play for standings, and the top ranked teams will play for the TBD Fall League Championship!
  • 👆 ALSO FREE OF CHARGE: David Kerian Baseball Camp this fall! 👆
  • This BONUS fall baseball camp is included for all players signing up for the TBD Fall League.  Kerian played baseball at the University of Illinois, and in his senior season in 2015 he was named Big 10 Player of the Year, 2nd Team All-American, and was Drafted in the 9th Round of the MLB Amatuer Draft by the Washington Nationals Major League Baseball Club.  Kerian played for the Nationals in the Minor Leagues in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.  Kerian played Independant League Professional Baseball in 2017 with the Windy City Thunderbolts and 2018 with the Sioux City Explorers.  After the 2018 season he retired from professional baseball.  Kerian, a 2011 Bishop Heelan graduate has returned home to Sioux City to work with baseball.  He coaches for 712 Baseball and will be opening up his own baseball facility in the coming months.  Camp details to come.

2025 TBD Fall League

LOCATIONS, INFORMATION, and FORMAT:

 
LOCATIONS:

High Schoolers choose to play at one of these two primary locations of:

  • Sioux City, Iowa Area
  • Iowa Great Lakes Area
  • And with potential for games at Wild Card locations in-between

 

INFORMATION:

Teams are divided up into older and younger divisions for competitive balance.

  • For High School players, in 8th through 12th grades, the two primary locations will be Sioux City, the Iowa Great Lakes, with potential for Wild Card games at locations in-between
  • When you sign up you will choose one of these two locations as the base location for you and or your team to play in. 
  • With individual teams and field and high school approval, games may be played at Wild Card locations and area fields in the greater northwest Iowa area.
  • The Sioux City location will take the first 30 teams to sign up.  SIGN UP TODAY AS SLOTS FILL UP!
  • The Iowa Great Lakes location will take the first 16 teams to sign up.  SIGN UP TODAY AS SLOTS FILL UP!
  • 12 players to a team. 
  • Full Teams of 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13 can sign up.  Teams with 13 players will need league approval. 
  • Small groups of any numbers can sign up and we will keep them together and those small groups will be assigned to created teams. 
  • Individual players can sign up and will be assigned to teams as well.
  • We encourage all players to play that want to play baseball in the Fall.  If you do not have a team we will find you one! 
  • We reserve the right to fill teams up to 12 players in so that all players have the opportunity to play baseball in the fall.
  • Sign Up includes, but not limited to, t-shirt jersey with number......5 Sundays of baseball with 3 hours each Sunday......a camp to be announced, balls, umpires, field usage, insurance coverage and much more!
  • EVERY PLAYER gets a T-shirt jersey with number! 
  • $137 = Cost per player for the 2025 TBD Fall League for High Schoolers is only $157 in 2024 each . . . $137 in 2025 . . . a $20 off special from last year's fee for our 20th Anniversary!  This is for individuals or any size groups up to ten players!
  • $1370 = Team of 10 players!!!
  • $1507 = Cost per team of 11, 12, or 13 players for the 2025 TBD Fall League for High Schoolers. ONLY $1507 for a full team, best value around and more baseball than any other game in town. 
  • Great savings and a great deal celebrating our 20th Anniversary!
  • No player will not play if they can not pay.  Please contact TBD if fainaces are a challenge for participation.

FORMAT:

Our format provides more baseball for less money in a formula that has worked for 20 years!

  • THREE HOURS OF BASEBALL EVERY SUNDAY
  • Teams play 2 five inning games in 1 three hour time session each Sunday for five Sundays
  • These Five Inning Double Headers will be played in one of the two Game Time Sessions of 12:00-3:00 OR 3:15-6:15
  • You play in just one session each Sunday.
  • So a new schedule comes out weekly based on new rankings every week based on results from the previous weeks.
  • Games are scheduled tournament style complete with Pre-Season Rankings that determine the seedings.  Then week to week, in every best case scenario, teams will play like/similar record teams in an effort for every Sunday to be competitive.
  • All players hit in the lineup.
  • Free substitution on defense.
  • Pitch and Inning count limitations for pitchers are implemented and helps to preserve your arm and gets a lot of pitchers extra opportunities to show their stuff and work on their game during the best time of the year to play.
  • In-Season Rankings, individual team records, and Runs Given up will be used to create and maintain a competitive schedule for the whole fall until Championship Sunday on October 6.  All teams play on this Sunday, and the top teams will play it off this Sunday for the TBD Fall League Championships!
  • Game dates for 2024 will be the Sundays of September 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5
  • ALL metal bats used must be BBCOR Certified, and the TBD Fall League will be wood bat optional again this year.
  • All teams play on Championship Sunday with your overall ranking determining your opponent with top rated teams competing for GOLD! 
  • To the victor go the spoils as the winners receive Championship t-shirts, trophies, and genuine fake champagne! 
  • With your team's approval, and as we have done for many years now, additional possible locations for potential Wild Card, Best Geographical, and Interleague games in-between Sioux City and the Iowa Great Lakes and locations on Highway 20.  And these field locations all depend on the home towns of the teams signing up.

  • All players are welcome from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota.....and anywhere else if they want to make the trek!
  • Its easy to find players…Just 2 or 3 players from each grade gets you a full team of 12!
  • Keep your skills hot this fall until the leaves fall and the snow flies with three hours of baseball every Sunday for high school baseball players; 8th graders to 2026 Seniors.
  • Stay FRESH as you get a great jump on the competition for the 2026 baseball season!

About

Total Baseball Development (TBD) is a baseball school and organization based in Sioux City, Iowa with locations at the Iowa Great Lakes, and offers individualized personal and group instruction, Out-of-Season leagues, camps, clinics, showcases, round table events, and player placement services for high school, college, and professional baseball players alike.

Total Baseball Development serves as a local resource for baseball in the Siouxland region of Western Iowa, Southern Minnesota, Southeast South Dakota, and Eastern Nebraska for local baseball opportunities here at home, as well as state-wide, nation-wide, and international baseball opportunities.

In 2021, Total Baseball Development founded and began to operate the Iowa Great Lakes 'Okobojis' American Legion Baseball Team from Milford Post #384 to continue on with the tradition of American Legion baseball in the area of the Iowa Great Lakes.  In 2022 The Ruthven Blues American Legion Baseball Team from Ruthven Post #33 with co-sponsor Ayrshire Post #173 began play at Total Baseball Development's second current American Legion team.
