FALL LEAGUE --- Scroll down for complete information or CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
Total Baseball Development will be operating its TBD Fall League for High School players here in 2023 beginning September 10. This will be the 19th year of the Total Baseball Development High School Fall Baseball League....just known by the players as the TBD Fall League. The three primary locations will be Sioux City, the Iowa Great Lakes, and Highway 20 with again the possibility of hosting wild card locations at various and area high school fields and public and city parks. Call us . . . we might play at your place! Also at the Iowa Great Lakes there will be the 4th year of the youth TBD Fall League that includes the 4th and 5th Grade Division and the 6th and 7th Grade Division. The High School Division of the TBD Fall League again will offer spots for players from 8th to 12th grades, with younger and older divisions as number of teams allows with the goal of competitive balance. Opening Day will be September 10 and the five weeks will consist of two 5 inning games in three hours on the five Sundays of September 10, 17, 24 and October 1 and 8. And as a player in the TBD Fall League there will be two FREE OF CHARGE Saturday camps.
FALL SUPER SERIES
With weather permitting and all locations ending in the TBD Fall League on October 8, the TBD Fall Super Series will be held on October 15 for players interested in playing college baseball, location to be announced.........
Iowa Great Lakes 'Okobojis' FALL COLLEGE PROSPECTS BASEBALL TEAM PLAYING OUTSIDE OF THE FALL LEAGUE

New this year will be the rebirth of Total Baseball Development's fall College Prospects Team that will play now as the Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis. The Sioux City Bancrofts operated in this capacity in the fall in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Here in 2023 the fall Okobojis will be comprised of 14-16 high school players that do not play football and are interested in getting better and playing college baseball. The team will play a 22 to 28 game developmental and competitive schedule in the immediate midwest on seven weekends, with all games being outside of the traditional TBD Fall League. The Okobojis fall season will culminate in a trip to Phoenix in late October to play on the Major League Baseball complexes of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. The fall schedule for the Okobojis will be set by Friday, July 28 and posted here on the TBD website. The roster will be built from primarily players that have played in the TBD Fall League providing opportunities to our players here in northwest Iowa, southern Minnesota, southeast South Dakota, and the greater area of central and eastern Nebraska.

As an extension of the TBD Fall League, Total Baseball Development will be taking three teams to Phoenix. The Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis as part of their fall schedule and also two additional underclassman teams (allowing 5 juniors per team) comprised primarily of players playing in the TBD Fall League. Each Phoenix team can carry any grade of underclcassmen players and five juniors born on or after May 01, 2007. TBD will allow football players to travel and play in Phoenix as long as their football season is completed by , Saturday, October 13. Those two additional teams traveling will be the Sioux City Bancrofts and the Sioux City Saints. The Sioux City Bancrofts were operated by Total Baseball Development as a high school aged baseball club playing three fall seasons and five years total from 2008 to 2012. The Sioux City Saints is the longest operating baseball organization in Sioux City, established in 1975 by Fred Stolen, and has taken many forms since then and over the years with the longest and most traditional tenure being a summer amatuer collegiate baseball team from that first year in 1975 to 2013. What's old is new again!
TBD PRE-SEASON WEEKEND ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND FOR TEAMS IN THE TBD FALL LEAGUE
And to start off simple and the fall right for good foundation, TBD Fall League will be offering the first ever TBD Pre-Season Weekend with TBD organizing field space and two hour field time scrimmages for teams on September 2, 3, and 4. Balls will be provided. This is for high school players and teams who have completed team sign ups by Sunday, August 27. NO EXTRA CHARGE for this very new and progressive program offering extra baseball opportunities for players signing up for the TBD Fall League. HIGH SCHOOLERS
8TH-12TH GRADE
INFORMATION & PARTICULARS
- For High School players, in 8th through 12th grades, the three primary locations will be Sioux City, the Iowa Great Lakes, and on Highway 20 east of Sioux City one hour +
- When you sign up you will choose one of these three locations as the base location for you and or your team to play in.
- With individual teams and field and high school approval, games may be played at Wild Card locations such as Vosburg Field in Granville, Iowa among other local and area fields in the greater northwest Iowa area.
- The Sioux City location will take the first 26 teams to sign up.
- The Iowa Great Lakes location will take the first 12 teams to sign up.
- The Highway 20 - Early/Holstein location will take the first 8 teams to sign up.
- 12 players to a team.
- Full Teams of 10, 11, or 12 can sign up.
- Small groups of any numbers can sign up and we will keep them together and those small groups will be assigned to created teams.
- Individual players can sign up and will be assigned to teams as well.
- We encourage all players to play that want to play baseball in the Fall. If you do not have a team we will find you one!
- We reserve the right to fill teams up to 12 players in so that all players have the opportunity to play baseball in the fall.
- Sign Up includes, but not limited to, that every player will receive t-shirt jersey with number......5 Sundays of baseball......2 camps, FREE OF CHARGE, balls, umpires, field usage, insurance coverage and much more!
- Cost per player for the 2023 TBD Fall League for High Schoolers is only $157 each.
- No player will not play if they can not pay. Please contact TBD about this if challenged by the purse.

HIGH SCHOOL - FORMAT
- All players hit in the lineup.
- Free substitution on defense.
- Pitch and Inning count limitations for pitchers are implemented and helps to preserve your arm and gets a lot of pitchers extra opportunities to show their stuff and work on their game during the best time of the year to play.
- Teams play 2 five inning games in 1 three hour time session each Sunday for five Sundays.
- These Five Inning Double Headers will be played in one of the two Game Time Sessions of 12:00-3:00 OR 3:15-6:15 (You play in just one session each Sunday. A new schedule comes out weekly based on new rankings every week based on results from the previous weeks.)
- Games are scheduled tournament style complete with Pre-Season Rankings that determine the seedings. Then week to week, in every best case scenario, teams will play like/similar record teams in an effort for every Sunday to be competitive.
- In-Season Rankings, individual team records, and Runs Given up will be used to create and maintain a competitive schedule for the whole fall until Championship Sunday on October 10.
- Game dates for 2023 will be the Sundays of September 10, 17, 24, and October 1 and 8
- ALL metal bats used must be BBCOR Certified, and the TBD Fall League will be wood bat optional again this year.
- All teams play on Championship Sunday with your overall ranking determining your opponent with top rated teams competing for GOLD!
- To the victor go the spoils as the winners receive Championship t-shirts, trophies, and genuine fake champagne!
- With team's approvals and as we have done for many years now, additional possible locations for potential Wild Card, Best Geographical, and Interleague games in-between Sioux City and the Iowa Great Lakes and now here in 2023 the Highway 20 locations of Early and Holstein, we may have games being played in Cherokee and Granville and with the possibility of more fields to be utilized depending on the teams participating this fall. And these field locations all depend on the home towns of the teams signing up.

- Fall Baseball in 2023 will be on the Five Sundays of September 10, 17, 24, & October 1 and 8
- Teams will play in ONE of the below currently time frames, with possible adjustments being made
- 12:00-1:45 (Teams will play in this time from with a two 3 inning format)
- 2:00-3:45 (Teams will play in this time from with a two 3 inning format)
- 4:00-5:45 (Teams will play in this time from with a two 3 inning format)
- 4th-5th Grade games will take place on Little League fields in the immediate area of the Iowa Great Lakes
- 11 players per team
- All players hit in the lineup
- Free substitution on defense

- 6th-7th Grade games will take place at Wildcat Stadium in Arnold's Park, Iowa and with enough teams signing up we will play at area and surrounding fields.
- 11 players per team

- Free substitution on defense
- Teams can sign up as a full team, or individuals and small groups can sign up and be assigned to a created team.
- Available to the first 10 teams to sign up with open roster spots still available.
- Cost per player for 6th-7th Graders will be only $114, and each player will receive a numbered t-shirt jersey, and five Sundays of Fall Baseball, two camps FREE OF CHARGE.

A Monday, April 17, 2023 O's scrimmage at Cardinal Field, and even a couple of Lee strikeouts. It gets better each time!

It’s great to have local community support for our American Legion events and awesome to have media coverage of the big events like this week at Cardinal Field in Spencer, Iowa. So here is a different look from Monday, April 17, 2023 when Bill Lee of Boston Red Sox fame and the Savanah Bananas came for his third trip to northwest Iowa in four years. He is still mixing it up on the mound at 76 year old, and even with a couple of strikeouts in the Iowa Great Lakes Okobojis American Legion Post #1 scrimmage from the day! Just keeps getting better!

Total Baseball Development (TBD) is a baseball school and organization based in Sioux City, Iowa with locations at the Iowa Great Lakes, and offers individualized personal and group instruction, Out-of-Season leagues, camps, clinics, showcases, round table events, and player placement services for high school, college, and professional baseball players alike.
Total Baseball Development serves as a local resource for baseball in the Siouxland region and Northwest Iowa area for local baseball opportunities here at home, as well as state-wide, nation-wide, and international baseball opportunities.
In 2021, Total Baseball Development founded and began to operate the Iowa Great Lakes 'Okobojis' American Legion Baseball Team from Milford Post #384 to continue on with the tradition of American Legion baseball in the area of the Iowa Great Lakes. In 2022 The Ruthven Blues American Legion Baseball Team from Ruthven Post #33 with co-sponsor Ayrshire Post #173 began play at Total Baseball Development's second current American Legion team.
