Welcome to the HOME of Harundale Youth Sports League (HYSL). We are a youth organization created to support youth athletic teams in the Glen Burnie area. Our organization has been in existence since 1953 (58 years) offering both intramural and County teams in Baseball, Softball, Basketball,Soccer,Football and Cheer.

We created this website to provide the latest information about our organization. We hope to keep you updated on meetings, leagues, and teams.

As you know 2011 brought many changes to Harundale Youth Sports league. We added 3 new sports football, Cheer and Lacrosse. Now that things are in place for 2012 we are looking forward to improving all of our sports programs. Please visit each sport home page for more information by clicking on the link located on the left hand side of this page. As always we continue to look for more volunteers to help us make improvements. If you would like to make a difference and join our team please contact one of our sports coordinators for my information.

2012 News and Information FOOTBALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN.....

SPRING ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR FOOTBALL. Please see below for the online links or visit the sports link located on the left of this page.

FOOTBALL REGISTRATION

PARKING!!!! As you know parking is always an issue at Harundale. We have limited spaces in the parking lot near the concession stand. But we do have a large overflow parking lot in front of the school with a longer walk. We know everyone wants the shortest walk possible but that sometimes doesn't work out. Please be aware of all the NO parking signs and handicap spaces. If you do park in a no parking zone you face the possibility of a ticket or even towing. These areas are marked for a reason, emergency vehicles are very large and if called they need to be able to get in and get out as fast as possible. Also please do NOT park on Elizabeth RD along the street, this will be the first area checked for illegal parking. Please remember AACO Police will be onsite each night and we don’t want them tied up with parking issues. Thank You

AACO REC/PARK (WEATHER NOTICE )
Whenever in doubt regarding game cancelations due the weather please remember you can always check AACO rec and parks web site. The weather cancelation link is found below. If the website reads "all fields are closed" HYSL will follow that policy. If the site reads “It’s up to the permitted organizations if the fields are playing" Please check with your coach or each individual sports link on the left side of the page.

With the hot weather approaching please be sure to keep well hydrated before, during and after physical activities.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to use their own discretion whether to allow their child to participate under questionable weather-related conditions.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
PLEASE plan to attend our next General Membership meeting on Tuesday, 3/15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Corkran Middle School Cafeteria. This meeting is important for everyone to come. At this meeting you can ask questions, voice your concerns, give ideas on how to improve the league or find out ways you can get involved and volunteer. Come and show your support.

Registration for the 2011 - 2012 Season is CLOSED!
Fees for the upcoming season are as follows:

In-House Teams:

4 year old clinic -
5/6 In-house Co-Ed -
7/8 In-house Co-Ed -
9/11 In-house Co-Ed -

Boys County Teams**:

8 year old, 9 year old, 10 year old

6th grade - 8th grade (11, 12 & 13 year olds) -
High School (14 - 17 year olds) - $100.00

Girls County Teams**:

8 year old, 9 year old, 10 year old -
6th grade - 8th grade (11, 12 & 13 year olds)-

**ALL boys & girls trying out for County Teams MUST pay $80.00 before try outs. Remainder of the fee is due when selected to a team.

On line registration is now CLOSED! An additional fee of $5.00 will be charged when registering on line. Click on the below link to register online

Those interested in trying out for the County Teams must also provide a completed County Youth Player Contract.

This year the event is once again being co-sponsored by Anne Arundel County Recreation & Parks and a portion of the registration fee will benefit the Recreation Deeds for Special Needs (a nonprofit Friends & Family organization established to provide camp scholarships, adaptive equipment, training and volunteer support to people with disabilities).

COMMUNITY WEEKEND AT MODELLS SPORTS!
Harundale Youth Sports League would like to thank everyone that took part in our annual Modells weekend. Please look for more of these weekends in the near future.

"The green and yellow paper recycling bin is dropped and located at HYSL in the main parking area behind the concession stand. This bin will be for newspaper and other office waste-type paper ONLY (plastic, cardboard, and metals are not part of this program). This will be another way to fundraise for HYSL and support your children's sports activities. Please save your newspapers and other types of paper and bring them to your next game/practice and drop them in the bin. The more support - the better the program will be for HYSL." Again, thank you in advance for your support of the recycling program.
