Please make sure you drive slowly down Kensico Avenue (the road leading to Pat Henry Field) and in the parking lot.  The 30 seconds you save on the way in is not worth the risk you are putting our children in by speeding.  10 mph is more than fast enough. Please remind family and friends that this is an area that requires slow driving.

Kensico Baseball/Softball Summer Programs - Register By May 25th

Kensico Baseball is proud to be supporting the participation of our players in a summer baseball/softball programs for players league age 4 through 16.  Players who have participated in this program have consistently had a positive experience, developing new skills and bonding with people in and out of the community who share a love for the game.

This year we maybe (based upon interest) extending our Sandlot Program to our AA, Mustangs Division and T-Ball Divisions. This developmental program will be offered on Saturday Mornings for any child looking to have fun and hone their skills. The program will begin on July Saturday July 7, 2018 and run from 9:00am - 10:30am until August 4, 2018. The cost of the program has not been set for the 2018 season but we expect it to be approximately $100.

Players will be eligible to play based upon their Spring Little League Age as listed: 8U – LL Age 7&8, 10U LL Age 9&10 (AAA 8 year olds will be eligible to try out), 12U – LL Age 11&12 and 14U – Age LL 13&14. 

The Summer Baseball/Softball programs provide travel players and towns with an organized and competitive travel baseball program.  Because of the competitive nature of these programs tryouts may be necessary and teams will be formed based upon the number of registered participants and the availability of coaches.  The summer season will run from late June to early August with games scheduled for multiple days during the week and possible double headers on the weekends.  Participants will play in approximately 15-20 games in a six-week period.  The cost of the program has not been set for the 2018 season but we expect it to be $250 - $300 for Baseball and Softball 12U, 10U and 8U and $300 - $350 for Baseball 14U.  Checks will be payable to Kensico Baseball and all Fees and paper work will be collected at the first practice.

In order to set clear expectations for this summer season please review and sign the Registration Form, Summer Participant Sheet, Medical Release Form , a check made out to Kensico Baseball and a copy of the participant’s birth certificate to your coach on the first day of practice.  All forms can be found in the Handouts Section of the Web Site.

Coffee and pastries will be served! The event will take place in the West 2 lot (Near the Performing Arts Center) at SUNY Purchase College located at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, New York. See campus map attached for more details.

Bat Rules Changed for 2018 Season

Please note that as of January 1, 2018, the new USA Baseball Bat Standard will be implemented. Little League-approved baseball bats that are approved for use for the 2017 season will no longer be acceptable for use in any Little League game or activity starting on January 1, 2018. Please consider the fact that bats purchased for this season will not be acceptable next season when purchasing a bat for the 2017 season.

The Nominating Committee of Kensico Little League is conducting the annual solicitation for volunteers interested in serving on the Board of Directors or as a Divisional Vice President for the 2017-2018 Season. The term of office runs from 10/01/2018 to 09/30/2019. The Board meets monthly for the entirety of the year. If you are interested in being considered for a position, please review the position description and complete the self nomination form found in the handouts section.
