Head Coach – Sprints/Relays and Horizontal Jumps

678-516-7264

Coach Wallace currently holds a USATF Level 1 Certification in Track and Field. He is currently the Head Coach and Lead Running Long Jump Coach with the Cougar Track Club. Coach Wallace is the father of two Cougar athletes. Coach Wallace has a life long commitment to track and field. He began running track and field for the New Orleans East Track Club at an early age, and continued throughout high school and college. He attended Clark Atlanta University on a Full Track Scholarship. As he reflected on his commitment to track and field he realized that it was the coaches who stood out as mentors, and as role models and this is what kept him from going down the wrong path, it was at that time he decided that coaching was what he wanted to do. After graduating from Clark Atlanta University he taught at Morrow High School and was the Head girls track coach. During his time at Morrow he helped both the girls and boys develop their skills and learn how to work to their full potential. The end result were kids understanding that by setting goals and working hard you could achieve anything you set your mind to do. The end result were the same kids taking the knowledge they received to go further in life, along with others who would received full track scholarships to Georgia Southern, and Georgia State University and his alma mater, Clark Atlanta University. After leaving Morrow High School, he continued his involvement with track and field by coaching with Clayton County Recreation in Track and Field. It was shortly after that he along with coaches and parents that had the same vision decided to start the Cougar Track Club.
