Tom Huelbig

Varsity Assistant Coach


Tom Huelbig begins his 14th year with the Montgomery baseball program, and his 8th as the varsity assistant coach. He was the JV coach for five seasons and the freshman coach for one. Tom is Mueller’s right hand man where his main responsibilities include being the assistant hitting coach and the head infield coach for the program. Huelbig set a school record for wins on the JV level in 2005 with 16. He has a career 56-34 (.622%) JV record and a 9-3-1 (.600%) freshman record. Huelbig’s other responsibilities include designing the off-season conditioning program and working very closely with the varsity and JV players in all capacities. He will be instrumental in developing many young players to get ready for varsity competition. He will also assist Coach Mueller with the summer program.

Coach Huelbig played baseball at Jonathon Dayton High School in Springfield and graduated from Kean University in 1997. He resides in Hightstown with his wife Isabel and three daughters, Jacki, Amanda, and Ally.
