U8 Recreational - Modified Rules
Machine Pitch softball is the entry level division in the Windmill League. The focus is on fun, and fitness and learning the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. We recommend smaller roster sizes to help keep all players engaged. No live pitching is permitted in this division. Generally, the diamond used is a 60-foot diamond, but the league has the option to use a 50-foot diamond. Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved as managers, coaches, and volunteer in a variety of other capacities.

Typically Age 5-6-7-8 (as of August 31 prior summer of year preceding current season)
Example age on 8/31/2025 for the summer of 2026 season.
