NEW PLAYER INFORMATION

NEW PLAYER REGISTRATION DECLARATION
To ensure that every registrant with the Manitoba Ladies Recreational Ringette League understands our League's eligibility requirements all new players must read and accept this declaration. The MLRRL constitution is very rigid and the sanctions very harsh for an infraction in this area. It is important that every new player understands this. This declaration by the new player DOES NOT absolve the team of the responsibility to verify the eligibility of the new player if there is any suspicion that the new player does not meet any of the eligibility requirements.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Any female who is at least 30 years of age who:
-Has never played organized ringette or hockey OR
-Has never played above Community Club* level and has not played organized ringette or hockey in the 15 years prior to joining the league OR
-Has never played above Community Club* level and their age and consecutive years absent from ringette or hockey equals a minimum sum of 45 OR
-Has played above community club level and will ONLY play in a goaltender position (requires permission from the Executive) OR
-2025 NEW RULE Has never played Open 1 or above level ringette and is at least 55 years of age (requires permission from the Executive).

*Community Club includes A, B, C. Above Community Club includes AA, District, Tier or equivalent in Manitoba or any other province. Special consideration regarding eligibility must be submitted to the Executive by Email.

See MLRRL Constitution, section 7.5

SANCTIONS
If any team registers such a player, EVERY MEMBER of that team will be suspended from league play for the balance of that season AND for the complete following season. See MLRRL By-Laws Section 7.6.
