My best overall is Chris Lamerre. I would rank him first overall, he hits for average, power, is a very good base runner although he doesn't have over average speed, solid defensively, and is very clutch. In a clutch situation and I only needed a single I would take Chris any day over anyone.

You may have just started a brotherly war with that comment! I say Adam is superior - he's got the speed that his MUCH older bro doesn't ;)

I like them both, but I think they are both crap...Kent Taylor #16 has all the tools...and the attitude......He's the best..just ask him!

If we were to keep year-by-year hitting stats, fielding stats and career totals everyone would recognize that Dave Houghton is the best.

Jeff Gayman is the best player in the league by a
very large margin.

He is the best shortstop has speed and can hit
homeruns.

Paul Hicks, is there a better player in Unionville? He does it all, hit, run, field, and he's only getting better!!!!

Best all around softball player would have to be Steve Mckenzie. He can do it all. He is a great leader, he can play defense and hit. By far the best player ever. Steve single handily lead his team to triumph last year.

Jamie Burton is not only the best player in the Unionville. He’s always had the skill, talent, and the attitude to excel. Over the past seasons he’s maximized these attributes to become more indispensable than any other player. I am in awe.

The best player in fact, is the one and only Billy T. Every game he looks genuinely to be enjoying himself – he is a spunky outfielder.

Kenny Duncan will never be voted the best ballplayer. Too many people love him. Too bad that most people love him without knowing who he is.
In his youth, he was pressured to be the best. How could greatness elude him?

Whoopidy doo!! Asking who the best softball player in Unionville is like asking who the best swimmer in the Special Olympics is.

They're good at hitting a large ball coming toward them at a slow speed. WOWIEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Why not talk about any of their fatherhood skills? How about their community service? Playing Glory Days while sipping a tall cool pop after a game, really doesn't mean much in the big picture does it?

Hey Mr. No...Funny response from a guy that posted the following questions 'who's the best outfielder?' on November 26th...It's the hitting part you have a tough time with?? I get it..lol

I am suggesting a new rule when you hit a home run. Why do we have to run around the bases? As I have whined about before I think it is silly to have to run them out.
The rule should be that the batter only had to run to first and the base runners could just walk to the dugout.
What do you think?

WOW, that's shocking. That's baseball. If everybody had that attiude, let's just put the Plumbers in the finals again because we all know were going to end up there anyways. LOL, just joking!!! Have a great year everybody and we will see you on the field.

WOW again! No wonder why our wives call this an old mans sport. Why even get up of the sofa, we should all just hit from the sofa. I am sure alot of us could use the exercise. On a serious note, it will speed up the game. This of course will leave us more time to drink.

Hey UArms. I think your suggestion is an example of how lazy today's youth are becoming. I don't know how old you are but I play this game to run around the field and the bases. Maybe you've spent too much time with your X-box or Nintendo. Better invest in a Wii, and maybe you'll change your mind. How many homers do you hit anyway? I don't think trotting around the bases, and hopefully getting congratulated for a good hit from your opposing comrades isn't such a bad thing. Bending your elbow after the game shouldn't be the most exercise you and the guys on base ahead of you are getting for the night.

Im going to go a step further than you. Why do certain hitters need to even get up off the bench? I say there should be certain hitters in the league that are just understood to hit homeruns. So why make them swing the bat? They're above that. Its like the opposite of an intentional walk.

Save your 150 or 200 bucks and spend 5 dollars on 12 tokens at the batting cage if you do not want to run or maybe yoga is your thing. Rounding the bases is part of the game and some guys that do not normally hit homeruns get the thrill of "touching them all". Is 15 seconds of a light jog a health hazard? Is this what this generation has come to? Bring on global warming then.

Wow, I have officially heard it all. You know it’s sad when home runs are the cause of such a discussion. Sorry to say that the USPL softball is no longer for fun. This is one of the more competitive leagues in Ontario with great players scattered all throughout the league.
