| Yes...The big change this year, is the Conny Championship game will be played on Saturday night. There will be no games on Sunday for the Conny round. The winner of conny championship game, moves up to the Championship round on Sunday morning and has a chance to bring home both pieces of hardware.

| So let me get this straight. Grocer could go 0-25 during the regular season. But during one week in September, they happen to win 2 or 3 Conny round-robin games, a couple more Conny semi + final games, and all of a sudden, they’re a game or two away from playing for the Championship. Seems a little unfair to teams who play consistently well through the season.
Sounds like this needs to be better thought out.

| There are teams (and we all know who they are) that play better with 10 guys rather than 15 and are a completely different team with less players. Now that there is a chance to get to the finals there is more incentive for teams to fake injuries or have guys be away on vacation knowing that with their best 10 that they can make the finals playing from the conny side. If every team wants a chance to make it to the finals, why is there a champ and conny side? What is the incentive? Why not 1 plays 18, 2 plays 17 etc? The system works good now, why fix it? If you do not feel you deserve to be in the bottom then play better during the regular season?

| you said it, jimmy… “away on vacation”.
yeah right.
let’s face it… we have some cheaters in this league. why are we giving them more opportunities to show themselves?
new playoff format = bad idea.

| So far I agree with the others. Can someone enlighten me on the bracket, or as to, why we made changes?

| Please check with your team rep. He articulated to us the new format. Does your rep have a communication problem?

| I agree with Jimmy !
Why have 2 Brackets if were now starting to cross over ? This should be voted on at the AGM, not just the Executive and Team Reps.

| It's good to see the team reps are out there passing this information along. It was a unanimous decision to change the format. If you don't like it, ask your team rep why they voted for it. When your in the bottom 8, I'm sure you'll change your mind.
Regardless of the rules, you can't stop any team from bringing out 10 guys. I would caution you about calling people 'cheaters'...I know Unionville is small, but how do you really know the reason behind the other 5 not being there? There could be legitimate reasons for it.
Also, well your speaking with your team rep, remind them to tell you about the yearend banquet as well. It was a great time last year, and would have been better if all teams knew about it.
It may be time for a few teams to revisit who is representing them at the Rep Meetings and have a change of guard. Vocal individuals on this forum may fit the role.
