| How come we don't play on the Friday night?
Every year since I have been in the league we have played on the friday night on playoff weekend. That's no fun.

| just checked the schedule myself, the 19th is the friday, there are no games on thurs the 18th, check the dates and dont assume the four dates shown are mon to thurs. that is how i am looking at it.

| While the rest of the USPL world loves the playoff, remax is not too fond of the competition. With some of their players facing fitness and age issues following their participation this summer, now they are lashing out at the schedule.
They were the best team all year and are ready to slide into the playoffs again. Has this team even watched a final game in the last ten, if they were not in it?

Not playing on Friday Night sucks !!
Championship Round Teams should play on Friday Night. Cony can play during the week or the early Saturday Games.

Friday night to me is the best night to play. All the teams are out at the beer tent watching the games. Saturday night the beer tent is usually closed by 6 and everyone goes home. My point is that friday night is the best social night of the weekend and not playing on that night we/I miss out on that.

| I think the schedule indicates that there are 3 games on the Friday night at Crosby. Harding /Mas at 6:30 , DST/Bisons at 8:00 and TL/SF / Crupi at 9:30. What is all the fuss about? Everyone should have a good time at the Beer tent enjoying some good baseball and hasseling the outfielders. Beer tent location hopefully will be in the same place as last year it was great.

I’m confused. What’re you b*tchin’ about? You’re not playing at Milliken you’re playing 2 games at Ashton and 2 games at Crosby. You’re playing Mon, Wed (both 8pm games!), and 2 games on Saturday. Not a bad schedule, I’d say. Many other teams would love to have that schedule.
So tell us, what’s your problem? Is it that your Remax team didn’t get slotted into one of 6 games on Friday (neither did 5 other teams, but we're not hearing from them)? Or, do you think it’s some sort of conspiracy against you? Or perhaps, you think your team DERSERVES a better Crosby schedule than everyone else?
As I said earlier, I’m sure the scheduling folks are looking forward to your help next year. In the meantime, why don’t you have fun watching other teams from the beer tent that night.

Looks like Gimme and you should meet for a beer sometime to discuss.
Personally, I think the first place team overall deserves a Friday night game at Crosby. Since it can't be changed this year, maybe the Executive will consider for future years.

| Duke did you notice on the schedule that conny placed teams are playing in two of the three 8:30am games on Saturday.
It is a disappointment not to play on Friday night. But there are just not enough spots for everyone to play on Friday. You also need to look at the fact that the conny championship game is on Saturday now, rather than Sunday as in previous years. If you also look at the fact that there are 10 teams in the championship side, versus 8 in conny's, so you have more games to try and schedule for the championship side. You have 40 games to try and schedule versus 24 on the conny side.
I do agree that we should try and have some competitive games going on at Crosby friday night. If you look at the schedule, there should be some good ball being played at crosby. DST vs Flakeboard!!!
If you are worried about not being able to socialize friday night come out and have a beer in the tent.
Why should the conny teams get the short end of the schedule, each of them pay just as much as you to belong to this league. I thought that this league was based on comraderie, and enjoying a pop after the game win or lose.
Houghts if you have played every friday night over the last few years, maybe this year it is your turn to not play. I understand that finishing first should give you some privileges but in previous years you were not always first and still played on friday night.

My point is that the Championship side should be rewarded with a Friday Night game.
My opinion only, I'm not expecting a massive change in scheduling due to my opinion.
And yes, I have served on the Executive before.

| houghts, sorry, misunderstood your queation, got it now. faux, hockey roadtrip in new york, i hate playing hockey so early, bus got in late. would have been home earlier but apparently they have to shut down every street in manhattan just for these presidential candidates. gotta love one way streets.

I have played in the league for approx 13 years. Every year except for this year I/we have had a game on friday night. I am just expressing my disappointment about not playing on friday. I have not indicated that because we finished first we should have any preferrential treatment over anyone else. I have not said anything about our schedule (bad or good). I just feel that ALL the teams should be playing friday night, that's all.
Gimme - I am not sure why you are so heated regarding my post. I am not putting down the executive in any way. I have always supported what the executive is trying to do. Truth be known, I would rather play all our games at Ashton, especially at night. Lights at Crosby make it difficult to see the ball.

| Didn’t mean to get so huffy, houghts. As I read your opening post, to me it sounded like:
“How come WE don’t play on Friday night?” Emphasis on WE, meaning Remax. As I re-read some of the things you’re saying, I see your point of view better.
That being said, it’s always easy to pick holes in things other people do. I’d say the group who put together this brand new schedule did a pretty decent job.

| I here where Houghts is coming from, but this schedule was completed before any knew Remax was finishing number 1 overall.We have 3 championship side teams playing Friday night at Crosby and it should be quite entertaining.
Organizing the schedule is an extremely difficult task, and if Team 1 had of been playing Friday night, and Remax ended up as Team 2, what would have happened if team 2 was not scheduled for Friday night? Team 2 would have complained...
so its truly not easy to simply make everyone 100% happy.

| Hey Houghts - My team the Bistro, Remax, the Plumbers and the School all are not scheduled to play Friday night either. We could have scheduled games at Milliken on Friday night but in order to have every team (Championship - 2 games at Crosby and Cony - at least one game at Crosby) we had do the schedule this way. We also had to take into account the potential of losing games due to rain which is always a possibility this time of year.
It appears that the weather forecasts indicate there is a chance we may not play games on Monday and maybe Tuesday so it is quite possible that we will be playing games at Milliken on Friday night.
I think we all want to play on Friday night but this schedule gives us flexibility. This schedule was prepared a few months ago.
Unfortunately we cannot always please everyone but my team has not complained and we not heard from the School or Plumbers either.
