| This is a request to help Evan Cinq-Mars (Unionville resident- Men's league softball scorekeeper last year), in the CBC competition: Canada's Next Great Prime Minister, by voting for him using the step-by-step instructions below. It will only take a few minutes of your time and you will discover a very cool competition for Canadian youth interested in the political process.
Evan Cinq-Mars (19 years old in 2nd year at Carleton University- Public Affairs & Management Degree) has entered this very exciting contest run by CBC and Magna (http://www.cbc.ca/nextprimeminister/ ). Over 130 competitors are trying to make the cut to the group of 8 semi-finalists. This is a plug for his campaign and a request for support by voting for Evan.
Your vote wil make a difference! It will take hundreds of votes to make the semi-finals. If you are able to extend this invitation to your network of friends, work colleagues, sports teamates, social networks and the like- it would help Evan's campaign. Thank you in advance for any support that you are able and willing to provide.
The CBC is closely monitoring all votes and comments to make the competition "open and fair", which is why you have to become a member of CBC.ca before voting.
Below are the step-by-step instructions to cast your vote.
IF YOU ARE NOT A "MEMBER" of the CBC.ca website (being a "member" is mandatory for vote tracking):
1. Click this to sign up as a member on CBC. They are doing this to track voters (one vote only per member) and monitor comments.

2. They will send a confirmation back to the email address you provided. Click the link provided in their email to finalize your membership.

4. Log in as a member- this is mandatory to track your vote
5. Copy this link into your browser http://www.cbc.ca/nextprimeminister/candidates/evancinqmars.html
6. Run the video by clicking the "play" arrow (5 minute clip- this is "optional"- you can jump to the vote if you like)
7. Scroll down past the comments below the video
8. Click on the 5th star to the right
9. Add your comment title and comment details (as few or as many words as you want)
10. Click the Submit button

There can be a 1-2 day waiting period for your vote to be posted as they edit/validate all votes. If you are not confident that your vote has been processed correctly- please send send an email to matthew.barrington@cbc.ca or to jimcm@hotmail.com (Evan's father) for follow up. Previous voters have had concerns and have had to follow up with the CBC.
