Since the MLB All Star Game is coming up just around the corner this weekend, and the fact that I am extremely board this evening. I thought I would put together a list of guys that I feel should be on the All Star team for each division, Toogood vs. Gaymen.

There it is guys, I would enjoy reading some responses to this or even some teams of your own.

You really have to admire those people who continue to put their heart, soul and time behind this forum for our amusement.
I am equally impressed about how some took the time to create an All-Star team. So I will give it a shot.
• Steve Kirkland (Bistro) would be my pitcher
• Joe Bowen (Arms) is my catcher.
• Chris Lamarre (Grocer) plays the hot corner.
• John Cabrelli (Flakeboard) plays short
• Jeff Lewis (Wings)at second
• John Ko (Nvision) would be at first
• Link Ram (DST) in the outfield
• Robert Nigro (Arms) outfield
• Shane Gregory (MAS) outfield
• Dylan Smith (Crupi) outfield

Hey Reggie,
I agree with everyone on your list except for 2B, 3B and RF. Those players must be your friends or family members because they are not worthy of an all-star selection. The best second sacker plays for Harding. The best third baseman plays for Grocer and the best right fielder plays for Flakeboard.

Hey HR Leader...Some of them may be friends, but definately not family!! as for your 3 corrections, not sure about that but to each their own.

Hey Faux, when you mean the most intense team? Are you really saying a 'team full of asses'? or a team that would have the most players getting kicked out of a game in a year?

Although this is my first year participating in the Unionville league, I have been on the diamond for many years and played lots of ball across the province for several leagues.

First allow me to say that this league is run very professionally in a democratic way and is the best that I have witnessed. Thank you to the board and managers for making this a great league to be a part of.

Merely suggestions here, but in order to either raise funds for the league, donate to charity or either put away some cash for new insurance premiums, league fee reduction etc. I feel that an all Star game with a HR derby could get some great participation and a fun family day (with some kid’s activities of course) for lots of people. Considering that the level of participation is so high with a multitude of players in Unionville, we could have 4 squads with an A/B roster if we get enough.

In the previous league when we did this, the manager picked a certain amount of names from teams aside from his own and so on...

The derby costs the player 20.00 and the winner got 40%, 2nd place 20% and the league collected the rest.

Just figured that I would throw it out there considering that in the past times where this was run, it was very successful and profitable to that respective league.

Obviously there are many details and I can candidly state that I could help with (concessions, rules etc) if we get to that point.

If this idea was brought up in the past and shut down, please disregard.

Thanks

I was told by a former executive a while back that the USPL has a plaque on the donor's wall at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital. I might be thinking of the wrong hospital but that is what I was told.
