Dulls

As I see it these are the teams that will make the playoffs without question....

1. Nvision
2. Harding
3. DST
4. Bisons
5. Grocer
6. Complete Plumbing
7. MAS
8. School

Just by quickly looking at the schedules I feel that these teams will make it, although teams like Crupi, Just Wing, Arms and Bistro, might have a shot to get in. But some have easier schedules than others and that will give them the edge to get in.

Goodie, I agree pat yourself on the belly, you have done a great job getting wins this yr and it has been a pleasure to play against your team, great group of guys.

To help you win in the playoffs here are some thoughts for you to ponder

Nvision/Ed’s – Get them some Chippendale strippers- That should make Palmer, Hicks and Gill so excited that they won't be able to concentrate on ball.

DST- They are monsters, looks like they spend all their time in the gym so maybe a visit from Arnold Swartzenagger will distract them.

Remax – Sweating to the oldies and a few bottles of Jack Daniels.

Crupi - A couple of Kegs should take care of them.

School- Bunch strippers in school girl outfits in honor of their fearless leader should take care of them.

Kelsey’s- Just have to distract Gayman, so maybe a visit from his friends should have him crapping his pants because the extra pressure to perform with those guys watching, he'll probably pop up every time.
Just some ideas on how to improve your playoff chances. I had to throw something out there.

I love looking at every team stats. Not really, I'm drunk and I'm going to go to bed instead and try not to dream of beating Remax. Why nothing funny today? I wanted a good laugh after striking out at the bar tonight.

There is one major thing I’ve learned over the course of the Remax dynasty.
The key to success for the champs lies in the ability of Houghton to make his teammates better. The only problem is, his teammates just aren’t that good. I mean is it even possible for a team to succeed without Jamie and Chris who played significant roles in previous championship runs? The current team does not look like a list of players worthy of title rings? Are those the guys you want on the field in crunch-time? If this team was equipped like Harding is now, I would hand them the title right now. But can Harding really win game on Sunday afternoon against athletically-superior teams like Nvision, DST and Crupi?
I just don’t see the Remax miracle comeback happening this year.

To Ryman and your band of followers...
It may be true what you speak, perhaps 6 championships in the last 8 years is a bit of an over acheivement, and perhaps the aply named Remax Cup will go to a different team this year for a change.
But I will say this about the Remax Dynasty... I truely appreciate spending a couple of nights a week having a couple of ales after the game with this group when I see many other team sqaubling over an over throw or a strike out. At the end of the day, it's not the number of "CHAMPIONSHIPS" you win (although we have a couple) but rather the "FRIENDSHIPS" (and that many friend, we have MANY).

I wish you all the best of luck in capturing "your dream"!

So far this year here what I saw:

The Nvision boys are better than advertised. Let’s just call them the Bash Brothers from this point on for forum simplicity. We all know they can hit but, great gloves, hustle and just good all around guys.

Crupi is callous when it comes to scoring runs and is going to have another great playoff disintegrate.

The Harding’s' pitcher is a very accomplished hurler and combine that with great OFD. They are going to pick off at least two playoff pretenders this year.

DST isn’t leaner but are meaner with strong defense up the middle and their bats are intimidating. They look like they are going to finish in the top four again this season.

The new and improved Arms lads are cute and adorable but still have four or five guaranteed outs which will hurt them. They should plan to sleep in on Sundays.

When Nick is back spiting venom all is right in the world again. The School boys are the hottest team around and some teams do not have enough water to put them out or get them out.

Remax knows who to win and will be very dangerous in the playoffs. USPL legends that can’t make routine outs look hard.

Everyone else should look at their draft positions next year. Someone else should try to match my interpretations.

No contest this year. Arms wins it all. Defending Champs Remax lost too many players. Harding shot their load so far this season. Crupi has no hunger to win but to drink. And of course, pre-season favorite and last years runners up Travel Lovers may not make it out of the conny.

Little Mealin's Perspective...

1. DST will once again be the team to beat. They have talent, a well molded squad and playoff experience. Unless they end up playing the Plumbers (lol), they will most likely prevail.

2. NVISION have the talent, but have yet to win a title. They may crack under the pressure!

3. The only teams that can beat Harding or The School are themselves. They have the potential to go all the way, but could have a mental break down at any moment.

4. Watch out for The Village Grocer! As long as everyone is healthy, they be a tough team to stop.

5. Plumbers - we may try to piss you all off by winning the connies and championship. Let's see where we end up in the standings.

6. Angus Glen - Always a threat as long as Saturday night doesn't turn into Sunday morning.

7. Arms - I have my money on them to win the connies, but won't go anywhere on championship Sunday (mainly due to hangovers!).

Hey Mealzjr no love for the older brother eh.........LOL.........I love it..........If championship weekend was in OCTOBER then my money would definitely be on Crupi. Unfortunately it's played in September and the bats will go silent in crunch time. Mind you if those TOOLS have been given the juice then that's a whole different story.

Who is this Mealz Jr??? Little? Does this guy own a mirror?

Little Mealin's Perspective...

My comments are below!

1. DST will once again be the team to beat. They have talent, a well molded squad and playoff experience. Unless they end up playing the Plumbers (lol), they will most likely prevail.

They Have a chance....Always tough to beat

2. NVISION have the talent, but have yet to win a title. They may crack under the pressure

They have a chance, but may have to many holes in their defense...

3. The only teams that can beat Harding or The School are themselves. They have the potential to go all the way, but could have a mental break down at any moment.

Agreed, but both tough teams

4. Watch out for The Village Grocer! As long as everyone is healthy, they be a tough team to stop.

Forget it..They are done! or should i say well done!

5. Plumbers - we may try to piss you all off by winning the connies and championship. Let's see where we end up in the standings.

Not going anywhere! Grab a wrench and go fix a toilet!

6. Angus Glen - Always a threat as long as Saturday night doesn't turn into Sunday morning.

Not a chance!! They will be lucky to make the conny...and all teams make the playoff's.

7. Arms - I have my money on them to win the connies, but won't go anywhere on championship Sunday (mainly due to hangovers!).

Win the connies? They will be on the championship side..read the standings.

School (have a chance)
Crupi (2009 Champs)
Arms (lose in finals - and cream DST in Semi's)
VG (Lose to Crupi in Semi's)
Plumbers (NOT in my top 15 teams... Put their name in to make a point)
Harding (enjoy the beer tent)
MAS (No idea)

Mealzjr - beers on the Friday night... on me... if you even make the top bracket.

Oh thats it C on CL. You have riled up my team now. We have handed out more butt whooping than we have taken. Including your team in last year in the playoffs. Oops. Sorry, my mistake, you were knocked out by Saturday afternoon. Well, maybe if you get out of the first round this year we will get a rematch. (quick disclaimer: apologies to the 3bagger, Cashman, Willie & Spankie for being so bold as to challenge their obviously superior insights and brilliantly funny SMACK. The word spankie, all by itself is hilarious.)
The young lads from the Arms engrave so much gobbledygook here that it turns out to be a magnificent metaphor painting a word picture that basically says the rest of us suck without hurting anybody’s feeling.
Somebody please bring the funny back to this website. Where is Jimmy, Gimme and the other clowns?

I thought about this appropriate biblical reference, here goes...

"Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish"

Proverbs 31:6 I think this is the ancient equivalent of "win or lose we drink the booze"

Have fun all.
