| I thought I'd take this opportunity to let everyone know that Don Whalen (pitcher for the Plumbers) has decided to hang up his glove.
Don started with the USPL 37 years ago. He's always been on the same team which has gone through various sponsor and name changes such as Village in The Valley, Bramalea, Train Trailers, Hobbs and most recently, Complete Plumbing.
Don has been nothing less than a great asset to not just his team, but the league and entire community. His talent, dedication, leadership, inspiration and coaching have played a huge part in building the USPL to what it is today.
Thank you Don and we wish you the best! We expect to see you at all of our future games (and poker matches :) ).
You always have and will always be an integral part of this team.
Sincerely,
James Mealin on behalf of the entire Complete Plumbing Team and Alumni.

| Here, Here...37 years, eh? Wow! I was impressed with you before...I am amazed now. I hope to see you soon. I want to congratulate you, personally.
You leave an amazing legacy, my friend. I think you have been the best pitcher, in our league, since I've been around...20 some-odd years. Congratulations on a great run...again this year...your 37th, wow! You're a champ!

| I never participate in the occasional inane banter that takes place on the forum but I definitely wanted to take the time to congratulate you Don on 37 years in the league. I was pleased to hit 25 this year and i even jumped to the old farts division to do so but it doesn't hold a candle to 37.. I hope you will consider joining us next year. We are having allot of fun, playing some good ball and we would be that much better with you as part of the group. Since I first started playing against you in 85 as part of Brodies, i always enjoyed our games but you were a great competitor, a gentleman and a great ambassador of the league. It's been an honour to play against you Don. you will be missed.
