| Which is better defense or offence? The better teams (politically correct) in the USPL have the best runs against record. So if you had your choice would you like a team that averages 20 runs per game or one that gives up only 13 runs per game? I will take the hitters and the 20 runs any time.

| It is kinda unfairly when you play a team that is better than yours when it comes to catching and throwing. Defense wins 90% of the time over offence.

| Wow………..what is going on with the lack of runs?............Why are all the results of the recent games all low scoring? Did we change balls?

| Temperature has only a little to do with it.
As the saying goes, it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.
The humidity in the air makes the air have a greater viscosity and therefore increases friction on objects moving within it. When the weather is dry, the ball will fly further. When it is humid, it doesn’t go as far.
Applies to golf, too, for those of you noticing that you’ve needed to take an extra club length to get the proper distance.
See, come to the forum, and learn something new!
All the best, Jim

| As I said previously under the 2010 numbers thread...the HR reliant teams are now struggling for runs. You can't defend against bombs hit in cool air or pushed by the wind over the wooden fence. Time for the steady hitting "bottom feeders" who score runs to make things interesting.
