| Griffith Management is pleased to announce the addition of two key players Domenic Ianni and Craig Deasley. I'd like to thank the USPL and those that voted at the AGM to pass the "brother/brother rule" and recently the introduction of the "one time exemption rule." Attracting high level players is good for our league. I am thrilled to have my big brother on our team to experience playing in the most enjoyable league in the province. Well done Chris and the executive team.

| I should mention that the Griffers are a little more stronger than last year and will break the ten win barrier this year. They have some real good hitters and they have some serious fly chasers in their outfield.

| This is why we should not let in “outsiders” in our league. Our rec league get ruined by certain individuals that do not live in the neighborhood and understand the sense of community. Griffith use to be a good team with nice guys, now they have a few big mouths that do not understand what this league is all about. The third baseman and the catcher have mouths the size of their personalities. It must be low self-esteem or insecurity that makes them behavior that way. They should play on the Arms. Grow up and show some maturity. “Batter Batter swing” is something we said twenty or thirty years ago.

| Whether MBA89 puts a name to his post or not, he’s absolutely correct in his assessment. As a league, in our rush to ensure we had full rosters, I believe we made a short-sighted decision to let in “outsiders” (as MBA89 calls them). Now we are paying the price with guys who have win-at-all-cost attitudes, rather than a having community-first or a fun-seeking reason to join up. The two guys on Griffith’s are perfect examples of this. They are good ball players, seasoned pros in fact. But they don’t give two hoots about making our league or town a better place. It’s just another night (one of many!) of ball to them. Too bad.

So, chill out Gimme and MBA89! Our new guys are indeed local and contributing to the community and league in a very positive manner.
Other than gripe and hide behind a well chosen moniker to dispose of any question of insecurity (yes that means you MBA89 well done by the way) what have you done to make the USPL better?
So, play ball guys and if you have an issue, take it to the source and quit your belly aching.

| Chill out boys. We played the Monstars last night and the game was very uneventfull. Nobody was out of line on either team and there was certainly no Back Catcher causing a stir. I didn't hear a peep all night. Perhaps the message was sent through this thread and everything is back in order... good game my Furry Friends !!

| I know it was and amazing catch an I probably wouldn't have been able to reach over the fence and steal the HR away from them. He is 6'2 where I am 5'8". So yes you are right!!! but in the end I did hit the winning run home to win the game with 2 out and winning run on first.

| I'm having some trouble in recent days trying to digest what's important for this league, its readers and its forum writers.
Despite the hiccups and “the way it is” and his ignoramus comments, I'm having a tough time understanding what's motivating the participants.
Specifically, we have individuals spending their time tracking, inputting and guessing statistics all season for certain teams it is irrelevant once the playoffs start. What's the motivation? Simple, to avoid letting other teams/players know exactly what's going on (ie. additional scouting is my presumption).
My question to players and wannbe players is simple....what's the point of having a league that focuses on the selfishness of each team/player as opposed to the good of the league?
What's most distressing is that instead of people taking the obvious bait I gave in my original posts on June 15 to fire back some crafty responses, I login to read, "pu@*y" comments that provide no opportunity for response.
Again....what's your motivation I ask? What say you?
