| Good afternoon everyone,
The good news is that we did not receive the bad weather and rain that they were calling for over the weekend. It ended up being a pretty good weekend. The operations staff have check the fields this morning and they have determined that the fields are playable. All town of Markham and York Catholic District School Board fields are open.
I am asking all groups to use your discretion when on a field or diamond. If the odd field is still wet please use better judgement and do not pound a field that cannot take it. The operations staff are also working on getting the fields back on a cutting and lining schedule. Some fields may have grass that is longer than our town standard and may have had the lines washed away. Thank you for your understanding as staff are working very hard to catch up, but with all of the rain we have received the grass is growing very quickly right now.
