| I heard that it looks like SPN may be switching there bat regulations from ASA to USSSA this year.
Just wondering, if this did happen would our league make the switch? Since I know we follow most of SPN's rules & regulations.

| SPN indeed is changing there rules and will follow the USSSA abt regulations starting January 1, 2012. The however will not be grandfathering in any bats so no Freak, Synergy, etc. I would assume that since we follow the SPN rules that we as a league would also follow these new bat rules but you know what they say about assuming!

| That would mean adopting the SPN ball the hotdot. If anyone was in the Falls this year the ball is mush and bouncy. Given that we play in small parks I would say I doubt that the bats change unless the ball changes as well.

| FYI - This year our league will follow SPN and be adopting the ball used at SPN provincials - "The Hot Dot".
Those that still hit a ton of dingers will continue to do so, those that get 1 or 2... not so much

| Don't bother on stocking up on many bats unless they have next years stamp on them (2013). Most retailers are selling utrip bats for about $100. Only problem is without that stamp they will be banned next year! PS. I think all ASA bats with a 2004 stamp are still ok.

| There is a team that is cheating.....you know who you are. Lose the bat before a pitcher get one in the grill.

| What bats would be used? Aluminum single wall bats or the composite slightly altered I mean been to the Dr. for a check up bats that we use today? Back then homerun hitters would hit the homeruns, now everyone hits homeruns.

| Im gonna get ripped apart on here for talkin bats, but whatever. Ima write what I want and you asked. I love the USPL. It has the biggest barrel available (14.5") which means a big sweet spot with a lot of margin for error. It also has a very thin handle if you like that. I just taped my ASA NRG's handle recently and like it even more. I've only ever swung the balanced version but its also available in an endload model, though I can't tell you how heavy the endload is. I also swing a 28oz, but I've also swung it in a 27oz and that is a great weight for that bat. I got mine from kellysultimatesports.com about a year ago so I bought it a little more expensive, but you can probably get it for $200 which is a steal. It breaks in fast and has great feel.
