| What is a secure lead these days? What is the protocol when you are up by X amount of runs? Some teams want you to go "base to base" If you are up by ten. I would love to read what is the definition of an appropriate leads. All teams can score in bunches so I say play the game as it should be you say what?

| we were up 21-0 after 5 - went station to station-swing at first pick etc - bottom of 6 other team scores 13. We score 2 in top of 8 to make it 23-13 - bottom of 8 they score 7 with runners on 2nd and 3rd to end the game. we barely hung on to win.

| Why go base to base? Play the game like men, keep running. We have been up by more than ten and lost.

| I don't think you can put a number on it, you just have to sense when your opponent is indeed defeated. ... 6:30 game, 40 degree humidity in July, 17-4 in the 6th, is done I'd say. First week of September, crisp cool night, 28-10 in the 6th, keep going. Just keep an eye on the other team, when they start moving lethargically, take your foot off the gas.... just my thoughts !

| My theory on scoring runs is when the water starts boiling it is foolish to turn off the heat.
