Why do we have this play in game.? This tread has been open up for a constructive discussion on the merits of a play in game. Let all opinions be read and debated. I am against this game because the regular season has to count for something.

| Pros of play-in game: everyone gets a chance, rainbows, puppy dogs
Cons of play-in game: regular season means nothing, spot on championship side is not earned, taking the spot of (potentially) a team from the champ side to play their way back in, better teams on the bubble at end of season intentionally throw games so that they can play back in by beating conny teams instead of getting knocked out by champ side teams, waste of time

| Dear Santa, I don't want electronics, money, clothes or any other expensive things for Christmas this year, I just want a legitimate shot at winning a USPL championship. So if my team makes the top 10, the other 8 teams should not get a chance to play on Sunday morning.

| The exemption pick has added numerous great players to this league and we all are better for it. The play in game has not made the league better.

| We had to play this game, early on a Sunday morning. The plumbers were so inferior it was just a waste of time. If a team wins less then 10 games during the regular season it speaks volumes for the squad. Why waste everyone times with a game that is irrelevant ?

| We had an unofficial vote on this at the AGM and it was overwhelming IN FAVOUR of the play-in game, yet the vast majority here don't want it. WTF? When it was brought up by Big Rick he mentioned what I have experienced numerous times - when you talk to guys they don't want it. For some reason though, when it's put to a vote, guys are afraid to say the same. Can't figure this one out...

| Rassie had the super power house team that barely qualified for Sunday play. Yet his team was far superior to the plumbers. Next year if you don't want to play at 8 on a Sunday then play better on Saturday.
The Play-in game helps with game distribution on Sunday, and also give all teams in the league a chance to play Sunday if they are good enough at the right time.

| The Plumbers gave up almost twenty runs per game, what does that say? No pitchers or gloves is what is screams out loud. Draft some people who can catch the ball.

| I really Appreciate all responses on this forum. No argument is perfect. Fully recognize that some of mine are flawed and expect disagreement. My point is that the free pick makes has more positives than negatives. The play in game makes no sense.

| If you actually knew what you were talking about you'd realize we went to the play in game to get all the teams a chance. Some teams need a second choice when the playoffs roll around. Some teams struggle every year and they progressively getting worse, give them a break.
