My New Year's resolution is not to make any stupid resolutions for the 2nd straight year like saying Jakes will be in the finals.

Many people view the New Year as a time for resolutions losing weight, exercising more, staying in better touch, not screaming at the umps etc. My only wish is to drink a cold one with boys after the game.

I am hoping 2013 brings happiness, new cleats, new bats, new laughter, new opportunities, new friendships, new exemption pick and a new USPL champ.

Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2013 is everything you want it to be! Unless you're a Mayan enthusiast or you play for the Plumbers or the Arms, then my condolences.

New Years Resolutions:
1. Win 3 slo pitch leagues instead of two in 2013.
2. Repeat the glory of 2011.
3. Climb the fence at Milliken and pull one back.

New Years resolution, meet someone that says the Arms are overrated and can actually make an argument for another team.

what is the rule as far as live/dead ball does rule change if runner is still standing on the base.

never had this happen to me before, but last year i'm up to bat and i hit a ground ball right down the 3rd base line and while i'm hoping it goes fowl because i was not happy with the hit i quickly release that my teammate is standing on third is making no attempt to get out of the way but instead is bracing for impact the ball drops right beside the base in fowl terrritory. Base's are loaded with 1 out and while pretty much everyone is concerned with his well being the 3rd baseman picks up the ball and tags him steps on 3rd and the inning is over. All happened real quick. Nobody really cares about the result of that specific play but just curious after the fact as there is a couple different idea's on the team on how that play should have been ruled.

The call the umpire made was correct, if a fair batted ball hits the runner who is in contact with the base at the time, the ball remains alive and the runners are in jeopardy. The only other way it could be ruled is if the runner intentionally interfered with the ball ( threw his leg out to stop
the fielder from making a play on the ball) or the fielder from making a play then the runner would be out for interference

The key to hitting is to accelerate your bat through the ball.

A strong follow through separates the home run hitters from the average players. You can increase your bat speed as you follow through by only using one hand to whip the bat out of the hitting zone. The results will amaze everyone.

Why is it when a man talks dirty to a woman, its sexual harassment, but when a woman talks dirty to a man, it's $3.95/minute?

Never lose hope, because hope is what keeps you going, and hope is what will help you accomplish your dreams or get rid of the veterans and start with fresh blood, that will give you hope.

Hello....Pitchers and catchers have reported to MLB camps. I don't know when slo pitch catchers and pitchers must report. Oh yea, 5 minutes before the game to ensure their laces are done up.
