How come the Blue Jays are playing this game but you can't tell the score because of the FOG. It's like they are in the Bermuda Triangle. We should have also played tonight.

I just received this from the town:

Good afternoon.
As you know Markham received an extraordinary amount of rain last night. We were considering closing the fields due to the saturated conditions.
However we have chosen to leave the fields open for tonight. We are STRONGLY encouraging all user to be very diligent in their use of the fields tonight. This is especially true for the soccer fields. If you arrive at a field tonight and find it too wet to play please use your better judgement and do not use the field. We will happily issue a credit on your contract for any time missed.
Understand that any fields damaged by play will be CLOSED and unavailable for play until such a time as they are fixed. You the users have asked the City to give you some of the authority over what is safe and what is not. Please do not play on a wet field and ruin it. One night of play could cost you months of future use.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
Recreation Services, City of Markham

The town is being overly cautious, glad they are keeping the fields open tonight....would be a travesty if they decided to cancel activity. If their primary concern is the soccer fields, ‘they’ should separate the decision made on those fields from the baseball diamonds and let us do our thing barring any pooling of water.
