| Hello Everyone,
John and I would like to thank you all for making last Saturday a great success. The weather cooperated, and everything went off without a hitch. We believe this year's tournament was the best ever.
We raised $6,400. Your support and generousity is appreciated. As you know the money raised goes to St. Francis Xavier University - Michelle Birks Memorial Award. With the money raised this year, the university will be able to acknowledge two deserving students who meet the following criteria:
• a full-time female student who demonstrates financial need
• the recipient must be entering her second, third or fourth year at StFX
• the recipient must be a member of the StFX Women's Rugby Team
• preference will be given to students registered in the Human Kinetics program
• the recipient must have a record of leadership & community participation
• preference is also given to students who have a strong academic performance and who are on the Dean's list.
As well, there is an award in Michelle's name at St. Brother Andre High School. This award is presented to the graduating athlete who in the pursuit of excellence ,has demonstrated values such as fairness, inclusion, perserverance, sportsmanship, respect for others, and especially a true love of sport throughout their high school career. Attached is the scanned profile of Michelle that is used at the high school.

| Thanks to all who played and contributed. This is a very worthy cause.
And congratulations to Anne & John Birks, who give lots of their time and effort to this. This is a very well-run event. If you get a chance to participate in coming years, you should do so. You will have fun (and feel good about it at the same time!).
