| Why don't we make all rainout games a 7-7 tie ? That would be better for scheduling.

| That suggestion is ludicrous, why don’t we not play on holidays either and call those games a tie. Come on man, think before you write. Play the games regardless of the time, date and location.

| I have an even better idea. How about we only call rain-outs for games that are actually rained out! I don't think it rained after 5 pm yesterday until overnight. It did not rain enough that the fields could not have been worked on prior to the 6:30 game. Now 18 teams have to play an unnecessary make up game. Can we at least agree not to call games based on "pending weather" and actually wait and see if the weather even arrives?
Can you tell I hate missing ball?

| Proper protocol should be - 1) if Town of Markaham cancels diamond use = cancelled.
2) if umpire deems unplayable = cancelled

| I believe that the city's mandate is to cancel permits for fields before 3pm. After that point, it's up to the discretion of the umpires and league directors to make a judgement call.

| waaaa... stop the bitching JB. With back-to-back rain outs and being off next week, TRG doesn't hit the field for an entire month. Provided there is no rain, TRG will play their 7th game on July 8th, while The Dutch will be playing their 13th game that same night.... somebody should revisit this new schedule !

| Ummmm, who's bitching now Harry? My point supports your argument too so why the 'tude? Making the schedule is a tough job, and one I wouldn't want. I'm not bitching about the sched. just that if games could be played - and they could've last night - then we should play them and make a decision at the time of the game not because of the potential for rain. Just my 2 cents

| There is no conspiracy here, the Town pulled the permits yesterday and nobody played anything. My point is that with or without rain, the schedule is still unbalanced..... and that was 4 cents, which now-a-days rounds up to an entire nickel. You must be made of cash.... xoxox

| It was interesting that my 11 year old daughter had her soccer practice that night in Richmond Hill... which I believe is right beside Markham.
I think the city is probably a little quick to pull the plug.
