| can any team make it tonight Crosby 8pm. Kevin Wilson Law cannot field enough. if your team can and wants to lay tonight and a scheduled game with us still on schedule call Gonso ASAP

| Why are teams canceling games at the last minute ? they've had the schedule since early May, doesn't make any sense to me. does anyone actually call the spares and reserve list?

| Self discovery: much as I do enjoy playing the games , I am not THIRSTY for games where it is a default situation. Teams without a appropriate number of players speaks to bad leadership.

| Could be it's time to consider an "A" and "B" divisions in the open leagues.
I note the team that defaulted is 0-7 how much fun can it be to go out and get your asses kicked on a nightly bases.
The "2 open" divisions have a clear division amongst teams that win and don't win. It would be more "fun" to go out and have a close game.

| This is a little argument that doesn't make any sense .......teams have come from the bottom to the top ....... it's all about drafting appropriately.

So last week a team (0-7) couldn't field a team. And on todays posting the team playing the team
whcih is (9-0) can't field a team.

| both games were to played against the duchess. both opponents let Gonso know they would be short and didn't want to forfeit. I posted hoping to find a team willing to move up their games with us so we would not lose diamond time. and free up the future dates for rain outs.

| I appreciate the Duchess team trying to utilize the diamond time since their opponent could not field a team. It sucks when you plan to be at the park and your opponent can't field a team. I believe the league is setting a bad precedent by allowing teams to cancel and reschedule last minute. Once you do it for 1 team, you'll need to do it for all. The USPL has played on the same nights (Mon, Tues) for 20 years. Guys know when they are supposed to play. The schedule is set in early May. Chris G gave all team reps opportunity to make changes. There is a spares list and a masters spares list teams can call when short players well before their scheduled game. Teams can get their buddies names added to the spares list at any time to help field a team. When is the league supposed to schedule make-up games? We set time aside for rain-outs. These last minute cancellations should be defaults for the team that can't field the players. It also costs the league money to pay the umps for a "cancellation".

| And it puts an unecessary burden on the guys running the league - who have to try and juggle the games.

| The only reason to not have enough players to play a game is just incompetent, we have lots of people available to ensure that your team gets 10 players. The roster is made up of 15 and we have numerous people on the spears list.
